I know they're not in style anymore, but DW really wants to find a pair for our pics. Need to be dark wash, not distressed, so they look slightly dressier than normal jeans. I've looked everywhere I can think of and no one has low rise AND bootcut. Argh!

That's my normal wear and it's almost impossible to find. I gave up and went to a resale shop, but I live in one of the most expensive metro areas near the really expensive subdivisions.

@josina: Those next level ones look the most promising. She has another pair from AE that she likes, so maybe that'll work. Was hoping for darker, less distressed, but that will probably be ok if it's all we can find. Thanks!
@Sams Mom: Never tried this brand. Looks like a possibility if we can't find anything cheaper.
@Mrs. Toad: Right? So hard. I might see if she has time to go to a consignment shop next time she's in Sonoma, it's just cutting it close time wise at that point.

@Mrs. Turtle: BKE is my favorite brand of jeans. They hold up great, they come in extra long (hem for free in house if the length isn't quite right) and I usually buy them on layaway because they're a little expensive to buy more than one pair at a time.

No idea but I cannot WAIT for these to come back in style! It's been skinny jeans for the past 15 years...enough. Dark, boot-cut jeans are the most flattering and easy to wear jeans ever and we as a society should be ashamed we ever strayed. Solidarity with your wife!

None of them are as cool as the "vintage" ones. You could always try an upscale consignment shop. My bestie shops consignment for "unique" pieces and she has found some pretty interesting items.

Ahhhhhh! I just noticed @Sams Mom picked Buckle as well! (Same brain! 🤣) I have been wearing their jeans since the early 00's. Great fit and love that they will tailor your purchases. (I'm uber short.. they hem everything for me.)

@hummusgirl: Agreed. I've gotten used to the skinny/straight jeans look, but I do miss being able to buy these. Although, at this point with the weight I've gained, I'm good with midrise, which seems readily available. She really prefers the low rise and can pull it off because she's still skinny.

@Mrs. Turtle: If you're open to looking for either used or older jeans, you could try searching consignment sites (eBay, Swap, etc.) for Buffalo by David Bitton. I used to have a bunch of exactly the style you are describing from this brand, before I had to be on the floor with my kids all the time and could still rock low-rise jeans more comfortably! They're a lower price point than express, so it might work if your DW is confident enough of her jeans size to order online.

My sister called and I was speaking with her.
She wears boot cut when she isn't in a uniform. SOOOOO ... another try on this board. My sister (TALL & thin cop) and her fiancee (short & curvy & so pretty) are 10 years younger than I and both wear low rise, boot cut. My sister only wears low rise. They favor dark rinse. All purchased at the Gap and at A&E. REALLY trying to help here because I know how frustrating it is to find the perfect pair of jeans, as well as to get the PERFECT outfit for a photograph.
