I'm just wondering where the Director of PR/Marketing was when he was making that statement.

Wow, what a strange PR choice of words!

I read that. I think it was poor choice of words and delivery. I haven't bought any new Lulu pants since the major "see-through" controversy, but I still stand by the Lulu pants I own.

The fact is, what he is saying, is true to some degree. All fabrics will start pilling once there is enough friction/abrasion. I used to do fabric testing for my job, and there is a specific test - abrasion testing. Some form of pilling and abrasion is expected eventually for all fabrics. I have some LL pants that have some pilling in between the thighs. But I know better. You are rubbing that area against each other, bikes, etc. all the time. And I don't have "thigh gap" so I wouldn't blame a manufacturer for it. If it happens excessively, or on the first wear, etc... I would be upset and take it back to the store. I've only ever experienced great customer service at LL too. I feel bad they have such bad PR lately. But I think the owner is digging himself in a hole with such poor statements.

The pilling is crazy on the newer Luon. I have pants made of Luon from a few years ago that have never pilled, while pants that I bought earlier this year have had to be shaved several times even though they've never been in the dryer and have only been washed on a delicate cycle with other Lulu pants.

This is not the first time those remarks were made.

I like Lululemon, but as someone who liked the brand from when they started out, i feel as if the pilling complaints are legit and the quality isn't as good as it used to be. Once Lululemon got big and popular, the quality definitely went down.

I do a test on all the leggings I buy. I make a fist and push it through the rear of the leggings, stretching the fabric, to see how much skin I can see through it. This way I know once stretched over my womanly thighs, you won't be seeing anything I don't want you to.

LL PR needs to be fired though!

@Freckles: @ScarletBegonia: Yikes! I guess I should be extra good to my old Lulu! I haven't had any need to buy any new bottoms from them in a couple of years. Sad to hear so much "downhill quality issues" with them.

Um...I think this is Abercrombie all over again...foot in mouth. I would never spend that much on yoga pants, and now I would for sure not do it. If I'm "too big" for your clothign I will spend my money where they appreciate women with thighs

I'm not a tiny girl and I seriously do love lulu lemon. The owner's comments are ridiculous but I will still buy the clothes. I think they are made to make most all girls look amazing!

I have old lulu and love it but you could see my ass through a pair of yoga pants so of course I passed. I like their tanks because they are long, though, and that is really hard for me to find.

I really like Zella from Nordstrom. Same feel and style. Their VP used to work at Lulu.
