So happy to hear the surgery went well! Hopefully, he'll come off the vent soon enough and they can start taking wires out. Post-op it's more waiting and ups and downs. Try to take breaks when you can.

That is wonderful to hear that the surgery went well! When you get a chance, please keep us posted as to how Baby G's recovery is going. Hope you can all get some rest.

They told us to expect 5-7 days in intensive care and we just got moved to the step down floor after three days! G is such a champ.
Currently not allowed to eat though while waiting an ENT consult. They think the thing that closes off the windpipe from the esophagus might be damaged allowing some fluid to get in his lungs. It is a common (~40%) complication of his surgery so nothing that worrisome.
