I'm getting a pedicure right now & the woman next to me get made a comment about how I wanted different colors for my toes than my fingers. I want a dark red on my toes & a light color on my fingers. Fingers get chipped more easily & dark colors aren't forgiving so I avoid them for my fingers. I didn't think it was unusual to get a different color, but now this lady has me wondering if it's weird.
Do you get the same colors on both or different? What color are your nails right now?

I always get different colors. Right now I have purple on my toes and nothing on my fingers.

I do both. I get the same color but if my finger nails are different then it would be a lighter color or French. It's not like you are putting blue on your toes and green on your fingers! I can't believe the lady next to you would even comment - she is the weirdo!

I always get different colors! I like bright pinks, reds, blues on my toes - but those are not really appropriate for my office, so I just do neutral colors on my fingers. Get what you like!

It was more like,
'which one of those are you getting?'
'this one for my toes and this one on my fingers.'
to which she replied in an unpleasant tone , 'ooooh, you won't just get them matching?'
She was older, maybe she was having a bad day. Her attitude just made it very clear that she didn't approve. Eh! They're nails! Whatever. My new favorite color is called bubble bath! I made a good choice:)

my toes: I do dark or bright blue or purple, almost exclusively
my fingers: clear, maroon, reds, blue, green, sparkles, patterns, anything goes!!
even i i do blue for both, they re usually different blues

I never match either... I like red or fuschia on my toes, and then a light pink on my fingers. I'm so hard on my nails, I use them like tools, especially when I did acrylics or gel nails. I always had to get at least one nail fixed or put back on when I had fakies.

i always do the same as you -- light on fingers, dark on toes for the same reasons. but in the fall/winter, i do like dark colors on my fingers, but it's just too much to maintain so maybe once in a while. now that i'm a mom though, i think i've had a manicure like once!

I try to be in the same family. Haha. But my nails are hardly ever painted due to work.
I can't wait for next week when I can afford one!
