    @Tionn3: I'm so sorry you're feeling frustrated and having to deal with this.
    How much longer is it until your birthday?

    @mrskansas: I turn 28 in October, so like 7 months.

    I'm either 3, 4, or 5 DPO today - have to guess via OPKs and cervical fluid because LO#1 is a crap sleeper and I don't sleep enough consecutive hours to temp. Already peeing on cheapie sticks even though I KNOW they'll be negative. I did get a positive at what was either 7 or 8 DPO with my last pregnancy though...so that fuels the early poor impulse control.

    Congrats @shellio!

    @Tionn3: I'm sorry you are having a rough time and a diagnosis of unexplained. I'm glad you have a plan in place, and hopefully you never need clomid.

    I am feeling off today, and its likely the progesterone, I seem to have different side effects each time I'm on it. My stomach is churning and I am so tired. I am only 6 DPIUI so way too early for it to be anything but this, unless I am getting the stomach bug that is circulating my campus and my husbands campus. Fingers crossed its just the progesterone

    @shellio: congrats!!!!

    BFN 11DPO, AF one day late according to fertility friend, and due tomorrow according to Ovia. My midwife asked if I had any symptoms, but I had zero with my daughter. Just tested day af was due. She said typically I would've had a bfp by 11dpo sooo not getting my hopes up.

    @Tionn3: I'm sorry you're feeling frustrated. Trying to conceive is awful and stressful. It's fun for maybe the first 2 months and after that it just gets annoying. At least that's how I feel! I think it's helpful to have a plan though. Hopefully you'll be pregnant soon and won't have to worry about clomid.

    @Tionn3: I also have unexplained infertility which is a bullshit "diagnosis." Which of course my insurance covers ONLY up to diagnosis, so I’m paying for all of this out of pocket.

    @mrskansas: GL with Clomid!

    @bizwitch: It fucking sucks! I also just got off the phone with Kaiser member services and they are insisting that my HSG costs $900 not the $200 that the Kaiser Fertility Clinic told us (and by told I mean I have a freaking price sheet and receipts). They told me because the HSG was done in the Kaiser Hospital it was more expensive...because of the facility of whatever. I'm just so mad and they told me what I had to do was file a complaint so now I have to deal with that shit now too. I'm seriously starting to think I should just go somewhere else for treatment when we get around to it because I'm so pissed at how we've been treated.

    @Tionn3: Ugh I’m so sorry. Shit like that makes me want to throw up my hands, quit my job, sell my house, buy an RV and commit to being a childless wanderer until the end of my days.

    Unrelated – is anyone else having a hard time with this site? Every like third letter I type, the page randomly scrolls down and I’m no longer in the text window. It’s not doing it with any other sites or programs.

    @Tionn3: Geez! I would be apprehensive too to continue any treatments there if they can't even get that information to you straight up. I wouldn't want to risk $$$$$ to be estimated to me and have it turn out to be more because of facility charges!

    @bizwitch: Yes! Right? I feel like grabbing my husband selling all our worldly possessions and retiring in Ireland or something silly like that. I just can't take it anymore, and the billing nightmare at Kaiser is not helping. I may just end up going to a private clinic for treatment because I'm sick of dealing with them...or at the very least I will investigate what other clinics are offering in the way of treatment packages.

    @dc yoga bee: really? I am surprised she said you would have had a positive by now. I feel like everywhere besides internet message boards says you need to wait till after a missed period.

    @shellio: yay, I am so, so happy to see this!!! I guess the relaxing vacation o week worked! (or maybe I'm remembering wrong and that was someone else )

    @Tionn3: I'm so sorry, that really sucks. My RE told me that in the majority of cases he sees, the diagnosis is unexplained. I'm so sorry they couldn't give you some answers.

  32. Tionn3

    kiwi / 680 posts

    @periwinklebee: I don't know what the break down is for unexplained, but at least my RE did say that for his practice, he says half or more of those people will get pregnant if they try for another 6-12 months. So, we will try another 6 months.

    I hope you're doing well, and I'm still sending healing thoughts your way!

    I finally got a positive OPK without Clomid! Wee!

    Now wondering if we had bad timing in unmediated cycles and/or I have a short luteal phase, since my positive OPK didn't come til the evening of CD 15. Unmedicated my cycles are usually 26 days.
