Hello ladies. I've lurked on these threads for awhile. We have been ttc #2 for a year now. This morning I got my positive. My edd is 12/1. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.

@sandy: AHHHHH! I was stalking you and secretly hoping this was the outcome but I didn't want to say anything. Oh honey I am so thrilled for you. Have a happy and healthy 9 months.
Wishing all of you ladies BFPs and sending a lot of baby dust to this board. So happy to see five graduates in March.

@sarahnicole218: @bhbee: How are you guys feeling this cycle? I feel like the pressure is on for a BFP... LOL just kidding...
persimmon / 1259 posts
@littlek: I wish I was feeling better about it! Temp scooped up just a little bit this morning, but not the spike I was hoping for. I feel like AF is imminent and that tomorrow morning, I'm going to wake up to that drastic drop in my temp. 12 DPO today, my longest LP has been 13, so this one day wait is going to feel like the longest day of my life. Just come already! No more spotting at all, which is unusual pre-AF for me, but again, not feeling hopeful at all as I feel NOTHING as far as symptoms are concerned.

@sarahnicole218: I'm not feeling very hopeful either. I have had a ton of EWCM the past few days, which means AF is around the corner.

Thank you everyone . I still can't believe it finally happened this cycle. You guys really are the best!!! You have just been so supportive and answered all my newbie charting questions and read all about my TMI body functions. I need to see a BFP from all of you ladies to move on from this thread!!!
@littlek: well, now you have to join me on the December due date thread! I am pulling for you friend! Let's go through our geriatric pregnancies together

So I know I always wanted to know what, if anything, was done different for a BFP cycle. I'll tell you I am not going to be one of those girls that says that I just finally relaxed. It was the complete opposite for me - I was so frustrated and overwhelmed at the thought of moving forward with addition testing and looking at fertility treatment options. So to all my stressed out and anxiety prone friends - you don't have to relax to get that BFP! So here's what I think was different about this cycle
-Drinking at least 1-2 cups of green tea a day. When I got pregnant with LO i had been drinking green tea everyday for a while bc I had given up my daily coffee habit a few years before. For some reason I stopped after having LO. I started drinking it again in January.
-Increased water intake in general
-And this is what I think was the difference maker for me. Maybe it's specific to my anatomy and it's a bit TMI but I love you ladies and if this helps anyone it's worth it. This cycle we only BDed in the missionary position...EVERY time AND for the WHOLE time. This is what we did the cycle we got pregnant with LO too. Other cycles we would mix it up and just make sure to end up in the missionary position but I read online and in my copy of TCOYF that you may have a better chance of conceiving if you BD in the missionary position especially early on in the BD process. So I told DH that's what I was going to insist on this month. I also insisted he needed to orgasm before me. Someone else started a thread where this was discussed - basically hypothesizing that if the girl has an orgasm first her muscles are in a position where the sperm is already being expelled rather than being pulled in.
Here's my chart for this cycle... And bc I love you I'll post the BD schedule...you'll see it wasn't a crazy busy bc my husband was traveling so much for work this month. This was the cycle that followed my whacked out 15 day cycle which is why I had an OPK test at the start. Also, I had two days where I noticed the tiniest bit of spotting which is why I thought I was out. It was really the tiniest bit only when I wiped.
Sorry for the novel but I just have to share in case there is even one little thing helps someone else get that BFP. I'm cheering for you all!!!

@littlek: I pretty much feel nothing. There should be some pressure since it's likely our last covered iui but I am distracted enough with house hunting and such not to care too much. At the airport now and more worried about 4 hours alone on a plane with LO since DH is already there for work. Thank goodness for distractions! We get back sun and I POAS mon-tues so it's about as good timing as you could ask for.

@bhbee: Good luck house hunting! Can't wait to get your update when you get back!

@bhbee: Can't wait to hear your updates! good luck on the plane!
@sandy: Thanks for sharing the details, with the reassurance that just because you aren't relaxed doesn't mean you wont get KU! Doesn't green tea have caffeine in it? Were you drinking decaffeinated? Or regular?
