@MrsHansen82: I am so sorry, lady. Hugs.
@septca: You are the absolute *worst*!!! But that's why I love you, and why I will probably buy a FRER on the way home.
@mfa_lady: Its definitely a thing. Done and done. When will you test again?

@KelLeeLeee: I recommend wondfos because you have to try so often to find your surge but once you have a general idea and if your periods are pretty regular you can try the pricier ones after a few cycles, if you don't get a BFP first!

@MrsHansen82: I'm so sorry. Glad to hear you're able to find some positive in all of it. Take care of yourself! And good luck next month!

@MrsHansen82: So incredibly sorry. You are right, the good news is that you did conceive and can, and will again. Love and light to you.

@MrsHansen82: I'm sorry but I'm so glad you're so optimistic and you should be. My friend had a chemical last month and was pretty devastated, but she got pregnant again this month! And this time her betas are doubling
best of luck to you!

Okay. Tested again after I came home (and after BD--is that bad? Didn't even occur to me that that could affect the opks...) and here's the result. The hpt is, in my opinion, definitely negative. The opk, it seems to me, is now actually a true positive. So, I think a few things could be happening.
1) I'm not ovulating at all this cycle and my poor bod just keeps trying to, with no avail.
2) I'm about to ovulate now, super late (CD 36).
3) I'm pregnant and Wondfo hpts suck.
I think option number three, while by far my favorite, is the least likely. I feel like if that were the case I'd have gotten a positive on Sunday with the FRER. I am going to use another FRER tomorrow morning or the next day (I just can't bring myself to waste them on non-FMU). Thanks for the support, y'all!

@MrsHansen82: Boo, sorry about your loss.
@mfa_lady: I couldn't see anything on your earlier photo, but, I really hope all the folks who saw a squinter were right! When are you re-testing?
I'm...waiting. Maybe I'm in the two week wait, maybe I'm waiting to ovulate. I really don't know. Since I haven't had a period since I got my first Mirena in 2005, it is kinda tricky to tell where I'm at in my cycle.
I had a positive OPK on Saturday, and my intercourse timing was pretty good for it (likely o-2, o, o+1). But, I know I might have several false starts before a successful ovulation (or I might have an long anovulatory cycle). So, I'm still peeing on OPKs.
If I haven't gotten a period, I think I'll start preggers testing on the 10th (which is only 9dpo for my best guess at ovulation, but, whatever, I'm not patient).
Meanwhile, my body feels all kinds of weird. It is probably all due to removing my IUD, but, I can not stop scrutinizing every cramp, every twinge, every change in cervical fluid, or that fact that my nipples are really sore and puffy. Agggh!

@mfa_lady: ah! I was posting while you were posting. I don't see a line either. OPK definitely looks positive though.

@lilyofthewest: "...but, whatever, I'm not patient." <----LOVE THIS! And yeah, I mean, when I posted about my first photo, I called it a stark white BFN. Haha! But some bees thought there might be a little line...but in person, I can't see a darn thing!
I think I'm just going to keep BDing. Just in case, you know? My husband won't mind. Haha! At this point I'm just glad I got the OPKs to try and help me figure out what the heck is up.

@snowjewelz: We made it happen after work today, and I guess we'll just keep going! Can never be too careful, huh?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: Took an OPK around 6:30 p.m. (after not peeing for 3 hours) and it was stark white! So I don't think I'm ovulating anytime soon! I'm HOPING I've already ovulated and that's why it was white...

@mfa_lady: maybe I am crazy, but I see a line. Is it kind of there in person and you are just playing it cool or am i really just losung it? I could be. So can you please just a FRER with FMU tomorrow and put me out of my misery???
pear / 1697 posts
@mfa_lady: @septca: I don't want to be a hope downer, but, I wonder if the reason some of us are seeing lines is the optical illusion caused by having the positive OPK next to it. It kinda makes me want to see something, but, then if I cover up the OPK, nuthin.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@lilyofthewest @septca: The only thing I can see in person is the line where the two pieces of white material come together...the seam in the construction of the thing, I guess you'd call it. It's a tricky little bastard, but I really feel confident the hpt is . BUMMER! I will test with an FRER soon though!
@littlek: Been thinking about you today. Is AF all the way here? I'll test with FRER tomorrow or the next day. Who knows what's going on up in here.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@littlek: UGH, the worst. Didn't you have a surge-ish thing happening before that b**** showed up? What is up with this month's crazy OPKs?
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@mfa_lady: Stupid crazy OPKs.
I am so sorry, friend, but I can only see a line where the material comes together. I don't think that means you are out yet, though! How many DPO are you?
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Adira: BAH! All that BDing for nothing?! LOL. My vote is that you already ovulated! :: fingers crossed ::
@mfa_lady: Hm...Tests are tricky tricky. I am not sure how often I will test with Wondfos anymore. They are starting to bug me.
@KelLeeLeee: On Mrs.Panda's recommendations- I have been trying Babi after the Wondfo..and I like the Babi's a lot more!
@Crystal: I'm having the same internal debate. AF should be due really soon...to test? or to be patient? to test? or to save money?
@MrsHansen82: :: hugs and cuddles :: How are you feeling? Can you do anything special for yourself this weekend?
persimmon / 1167 posts
CD28 here. I had an HS (hidradenitis suppurativa) spot flare up overnight, which I THINK it does when my estrogen levels drop, so it is likely that I am out this cycle. HOWEVER, I am in the party that believes you're not out...until you're truly out. So I'm just going with the flow (Or NOT...no flow! no flow!)
I have no HPTs in the house, and I'm thinking I probably will try to wait it out. If I ovulated when I THINK I ovulated- AF is really due on Saturday.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@HolisticMama: Your puns kill me!
I don't know why I feel the need to know ASAP! Its not like it changes anything, but I am still dying to know.
To FRER? Or not to FRER? That is the POAS Sisterhood question!
I am very unimpressed with wondfos. Cheap, yes, but the test line is always different which makes them hard to compare. And I have yet to see anything on an wandfo HPT, which I know is because I am not KU, but I blame it on the tests.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@mfa_lady: OPKs are really getting to me this cycle too!! I usually start testing at CD14 (O was CD17-18 pre-baby and has been CD21-22 postpartum), but tested on a whim this morning at CD12 because I had some EWCM yesterday. It was not positive, but it was a lot darker than I expected! Here's hoping that means my cycle is getting back on track!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Crystal: I know, right? Honestly, I'm just glad I tested with the OPKs so that if this really is crazy late ovulation, I'm aware of it! I THINK I'm 13 DPO. UGH. Will take an FRER tomorrow or Thursday!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Crystal: trust me - the alternative is worse. When we were TTC DD, I never saw even a hint of a shadow. That sucked, but at least it was definitive. This time around I have gotten at least an evap on every single freaking Wondfo hpt. I stick with them because I can't break my "early and often" habit, and if I POAS like that with FRERs, I'd be broke.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Crystal: I agree. Let's blame it on the tests. Wondfos steal positives. Wondfo trolls.
@septca: I actually did an entire month long series of OPKs and did have one random dark day...for like...no reason. I've heard that OPks can pick up other hormone surges, but I haven't researched it enough yet.
I wonder if the Babi HPTs are better?
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@septca: Ugh, so sorry they're being a pain for you, too--but hoping it's for good reason! I hope your cycle gets back on track in no time!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@HolisticMama: lol @ wandfo trolls! They are the worst!
@septca: that is very true- evaps are the worst. We all just need to get BFPs! I have not yet broken down and bought the FRERs because I trust those, so I know I'd become obsessed with peeing on them.
@mfa_lady: ugh! That's so frustrating! I wonder if your body geared up to ovulate then didn't? That would be strange that it's 2 weeks later, though... I hope it means a BFP for you!!!
