@septca @winniebee Thanks, girls, but in real life it really is negative! Haha. Here are two more pics, under different lights in different rooms. Now I just have to give it one more shot with and FRER and FMU and then hope i can figure out the opk debacle!!

    @MrsHansen82: So sorry

So, I am pretty sure I am officially in the TWW and it is already killing me! My drawer full of Wondfos call to me every time I am in the bathroom - ha. I am going to try to wait until my predetermined POAS date, but to be honest, I may start next Monday.

@mfa_lady: Sorry you're in this predicament:-/. FWIW, I am a big believer in SMU personally. Every single one of my tests is darker with SMU than FMU...and from what I've read, that's the case because FMU has mostly overnight urine while SMU (before drinking anything!) is non-diluted and super "fresh":-). GOOD LUCK!!

So many tests to look at today! Thank you for posting them; these examples are helpful for the future!

Man this thread was busy today.

    @MrsHansen82: I'm so sorry.

@MrsScallop: What day do you think you ovulated? I feel like I will be more patient this cycle but I'm sure the urge will hit me around 7 or 8 dpo. I'm going to hold out until 11 if I can.

So this is probably a stupid question, but when you're pregnant your OPKs should be positive because LH continues to surge....right? I took an OPK to see what would happen tonight and got a . Sorry if this is dumb and everyone else knows the answer-I had never head of OPKs as HPTs before!!

  12. MrsScallop

    persimmon / 1328 posts

@Radish: A couple days ago most likely. I got a temp spike yesterday and it was even higher today. Timing wasn't super great this time around, but we'll see!

@ChiCalGoBee: I think @torchwood wrote something up about this a few months ago.. Check out the December POAS thread

@ChiCalGoBee: It's actuality not a LH surge, it's that hcg is made of proteins that are similar in structure to the LH so the opk picks it up the same. Mine are so dark right now there is hardly any dye left for the control line!

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@littlek: Awesome, thanks so much for letting me know. I'll go search now!
@mrspanda: So good to know! I have lots of digital OPKs left that will go to waste, so I might indulge my POAS habit by just finishing those off to pass the time between now and my first appointment. Glad yours is dark-dark-dark:-).

@HolisticMama: Thanks, actually I am relaxing on the couch, eating chocolate cake and watching bad reality TV....and I just took a 3 hour nap. I feel better, also, after a converstation with my awesome OB through Kaiser. I emailed her earlier today just to make sure she didn't want me to come in. She called me almost immediately and sounded so concerned about me and apologizing for my loss. I've only seen her once and she was acting like she knew me forever. She didn't seem too worried about it and said it's very common and doesn't mean it will happen again. I felt really good about seeing her in the future.

@mfa_lady: well that stinks...I thought I saw a line too!!

@MrsHansen82: so sorry to hear about your loss!! that sounds like a great OB, definitely keep her! Do you have to wait a certain amount of time before trying again?

@ChiCalGoBee: I love that you POAS!...I think I would be the same way!!

@MrsScallop: sometimes less is more! it only takes one!

  19. turquoisemama

    persimmon / 1481 posts

@luv2beamom: She said it's not a problem to try again right away, so I'm hopeful that the next cycle will be good for us. I've read so many stories of women conceiving again right away after a chemical. This was only our second cycle trying, so we'll see what the next couple of months brings for us.

  20. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: Yes, mrs.panda explained it correctly! I'm definitely indulging my poas need with opk's. I have at least another 20 still. Honestly at this point they don't tell me anything (if I were to lose this one I'm so far along that it'd be weeks or months after I lost it before they'd go back to negative), but sometimes I just need some sort of visual confirmation that this is real!

  21. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@luv2beamom, @mrshansen82: "PEE ON ALL THE STICKS ALL THE TIME!!!" (I mean, this is a POAS board after all....!!)
@torchwood, thanks so much for explaining further! So at this point they're basically like HPTs as far as detecting hCG? Awesome. I know I'm a damn idiot for "peeing on all the things," but until a symptom or two kicks in, I sincerely don't believe it's happening....and I mean, they're just sitting in a drawer so....

@MrsHansen82: That's good! I'm excited for you to try again! hopefully the next one will stick good! I'm praying for you!!

@ChiCalGoBee: I love it! I really REALLY want to Pee on some sticks....but im only cd8 and on clomid. so a few more days and i'll be able to join the opk talks!

I'm a little nervous doing OPKs. I tried them a couple of times a few cycles ago, but they all just looked the same to me all the time! last cycle I used the digi clear blue...and it was just confusing! this time I got First response so we will see how these go.

    nectarine / 2784 posts

Hmm well I don't know why today's temp specifically would make it change.. I still think cd28 is a possibility, but in a few days you should know for sure.. And if you're not KU or AF by then, I'd say you're still waiting to O

  36. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

Okay, update--FRER this morning was negative! I kind of suspected it would be. Took an OPK, too, and it's very similar to the one yesterday morning. It's hard for me to compare because BOTH lines (control and test) are lighter than the ones yesterday, but I'm just going to keep BDing EOD/ED for a few more days! We got one in yesterday and MIGHT be able to tonight...so if I am ovulating super late, we can at least say we gave it a good shot. Thanks for all the support!

  37. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@anyajenkins: Thanks! I'm not sure why my temp would affect it either, but maybe because I've been having watery CM too? FF also thought I'd see AF today (if I ovulated when it originally thought and if my LP was still short like last cycle), so maybe the fact I didn't see any temp change at all makes it think it's previous assumptions were wrong?? I have no idea!! Guess I need to start BDing again.... ugh.

@MrsHansen82: sounds like you have a fantastic OB! Hold on to her

@Adira: hmmm... that's strange that your crosshairs are gone. You're probably right that it's due to the watery CM

@mfa_lady: Good to see such a positive attitude, keep up the bding!!

@KelLeeLeee and @anyajenkins: sorry Sadly it's CD1 for me too, didn't even get a chance to POAS this month, stupid af showed up so early
I have my annual exam this month, so I'll be talking to my dr. about my short luteal phase, and hopefully get the ball rolling on some fertility testing.
We're probably going to take a break from TTC next month - just NTNP. I would have a December due date and since a good portion of my income comes from holiday sales, it helps a lot financially if I can keep working in November/December.

Just to be clear, I'm still not at CD1.. unfortunately. I've been carrying around my diva cup in my purse all week expecting to need it any second, but I'm still just getting slight brown spotting, and a bfn yesterday
