@charmed: that's good that the timing of your annual works out. How short is your LP typically?

@ChiCalGoBee: yep the first time I was pg (ended in mc) I tested positive on an opk because it was so late in my cycle I figured I hadn't ovulated yet and started using opks again. Then someone on weddingbee said to try an hpt and it was very positive. It's because your lh continues to surge while pregnant. Hpt only tests for hcg though. Take a pregnancy test!

I'm hanging out in no mans land here at either 5 or 8 dpo (most likely 5) based on cramps and cm. CD 22. No symptoms or anything luring me to test. I think I will test on Monday the 10th, which is the day we leave for New Orleans, and also either 10 or 13 dpo. if it's negative let it lie til we get home Friday. I'm destined to have my period during our first getaway away from our son since he was born (and he's almost 2!)

@winniebee: This is a good plan! You can either leave with a BFP or your trip will distract you from testing again too soon. Good luck!

For me, operation BD EOD is unsucessful so far lol. We were supposed to BD yesterday, but DH got home around 9:30, and I had to be up early today to commute into the city for work. Good thing is I don't think I O this early.

@snowjewelz: It seems like such a good plan to BD EOD, but I tend to ovulate late and we get tired and it seems so unromantic by the time I actually O that EOD doesn't end up helping us in the end.

We have a plan this time, but to not do it too much until I get the positive OPK or obvious O signs. We will BD tonight, CD 10, and then again on Saturday morning (CD13) before I leave for my trip to visit my BFF. I will either stay one or two nights, depends on if I get a positive OPK. If I do, I will come home Sunday so we can BD Sunday night; if I don't, I will come home Monday and we will BD EOD until O is confirmed.

@sarahnicole218: I know! I didn't O till CD18 last cycle but I don't want to take any chances. But it is very daunting to BD EOD, it's only CD13 and I can O even later! I hope we will both make it!

@snowjewelz: We will...I have faith March will be a good month for us both!

Well, I think I can officially consider myself in the TWW. Despite what I would consider our best effort (BD CD16-19 with ovulation on CD19 and plans to tonight for an extra measure), I feel like it won't happen this cycle. Time will tell, but hopefully this gut feeling will keep me from obsessing and POAS too early.

@Radish: That's amazing timing...fingers crossed! But for your sake, I hope you can keep your sanity and not obsess too much.

@sarahnicole218: " It seems like such a good plan to BD EOD, but I tend to ovulate late and we get tired and it seems so unromantic by the time I actually O that EOD doesn't end up helping us in the end." UGH! That happens to me too!!!

We want to start having more BD time, when its not just focused on procreation. Maybe I will try every few days til expected ovulation, when we can start doing it more frequently.

This month we did EOD from CD8 til I ovulate around CD16; then every day 17-21. Some of those were "failed" BD attempts, which were so awkward, and didn't make it any more fun the next time. It became too get er done, know what I mean?

@sarahnicole218: Nothing like traveling trips based on TTC.

  18. Miss Sarah

    persimmon / 1259 posts

@Crystal: We have "failed" attempts sometimes too, and it really brings us down. I really wish we could not overthink it, I can't wait to just get KU so we can focus on nurturing our marriage again. Well, maybe I need to focus on ways to do that right now anyway, ha!

    @littlek: I know, right?!

@anyajenkins: my LP is usually 9-10 days, but this month it was 8.

Re: EOD... it only works for us if we start 5-6 days before I expect O. If we try to go the whole cycle, forget about it. Especially during the week.

I really do think my cycle is finally getting its act together and regulating. More EWCM today (CD13), which is consistent with my pre-baby charts. Let the EOD begin!

@sarahnicole218: I'm soooo annoyed I have a conference in Vegas in May right during my fertile week. I'm praying that I'm pregnant before then....

I think DH is getting serious this cycle, it's our last cycle before we start treatments. And for the first time, DH is down with BDing 0-2, 0-1, 0 and 0+1, as well as EOD starting CD8.

@littlek: That is annoying! I am also fascinated that you already know that is your fertile week. One, I love that you are planner, and two, I am jealous your cycles are predictable, but truly hope your LP works itself out soon!

Thanks everyone! I'm ready to rock this next cycle I should have a new POAS date of 3/31 so I'm still in this month!
@radish: that's great BD you definitely have this!
@Crystal: I didn't even know what a 'failed' attempt was before ttc and since we started I feel like its happening way too much!

@septca: Not yet! Trying to be strong and hold out!

I am going to follow your plan of only 5-6 days ahead of time.

@littlek: Is that different than Amazon Prime? I'll have to look into it.

It makes it so much easier when DH is 100% on board. Good luck!!!!

@KelLeeLeee: Us too. I think it puts so much pressure on DH, and can really take the fun out of it when he is feeling pressured to perform. I ♥ your positive attitude.

Used another wondfo HPT and OPK this morning, at 10/11 DPO. Very light line on the OPK and none on the HPT. I think if I was KU, the OPK would be darker, no?

  33. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@Radish: why you think that? Your timing is great!!!

  34. Anya

    nectarine / 2784 posts

@Crystal: you get a small discount for setting an automatic delivery.. I don't use it for HPT, but I have my vitamins and opks on subscribe and save, set for every 3 months

  35. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@littlek: It is weird, but I woke up this morning thinking that. Like I had a dream or something and the first thing I thought was it didn't happen this cycle. *shrug* We had similar timing last cycle, and it didn't happen, so that may be part of it.

@Crystal: I am still holding out hope for you!

    Thanks everyone!

  36. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@Crystal: With S&S you get a 5% discount on items when you set a once/month delivery date. BUT if you get 5+ items/month (so easy for me!), it's 20% off. That is where you start getting dirt cheap FRERs.

  37. littlek

I buy everything I can on S&S. Vitamins, toilet paper, diapers, wipes, filters... Me and the UPS/FedEx delivery people are BFFs

I am trying to stay hopeful, but its not looking likely.

    CYCLE DAY: 16

EXPECTED OVULATION AND POAS DATES: I thought it would be today... but nothing yet

    CYCLE #: Its complicated, I guess #2

HOW HAS YOUR JOURNEY BEEN SO FAR AND WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO TRY THIS MONTH: Its been a little on the rotten side ready to look up. This is the second month TTC since miscarriage. Month #1 BFN... Month#2 decided to hold off due to insurance issues, this is Month#3 ready to roll... but off to a weird start. Please read below.

    BABY #:2

IF YOU WERE A BREAKFAST CLUB CHARACTER WHICH ONE WOULD YOU BE?: Hmm... I don't know. Probably Brian.

I'm back! However I am having Issues! I had a sinus infection 10 days ago... i am taking my final antibiotics today. I use ClearBlueEasy advanced ovulation monitor and by now I usually would have gotten 3-5 days of blinky estrogen smiley faces and then today around 2pm I would get my first ovulating solid smile... but NUTHIN! Has anybody ever had experience with this? Do antibiotics effect your O? Help!?!
