So....my OPKs finally started to lighten up! I hope that means I did actually ovulate last week! Based on the OPKs, I think it happened on Thursday if at all....which makes me 3DPO today. That also means we BD on 0-4, 0-2, and 0...which isn't terrible, but is not as good as if I had ovulated last month at my "regular" time either. I'm going to hope for the best, though....and if I really did ovulate, AF should be here around March 21. So, I'll test on the 21st or 22nd if she hasn't arrived yet.

@abmamma: sorry about BFN. Hope your mom feels better soon and you get your spring bundle of joy!
@mfa_lady: timing sounds good. FX for you.

@MrsMccarthy: and @MrsPanda: You ladies are so sweet to think of me and my myriad issues. The short answer is that I don't know. Since my lap, I can't feel O as much so I am never quite sure which side I am on. Last month was supposed to be the iffy side, but I *think* it was the good side, so I really have no clue about this month. Because my December HSG showed that both tubes were open, I have decided to act like every month is a go from now on. Because I O'ed earlier than expected (yippee!), we don't have a ton of BD on my chart, but we are going to have O-1 and O, which I feel really good about.

@septca: that is so awesome possum about your tubes! I was thinking since you had a chemical it might be time for the other side but with both tubes open all bets are off. I have such a good feeling for you. Early ovulation is an excellent thing. Are you still nursing your DD once a day?

@septca: that is awesome! During my ultrasound (and the one before too) they couldn't find my left ovary and when we finally found it, it was super high in my abdomen. Since its so far away and sort of "weird" it's kind of my "bad" side. But, turns out that that was the side I O'd from and got my BFP!! So I have a good feeling for you!

@mfa_lady: I always got a fade in and out pattern as well. Sounds like you're in the tww

I've never been nervous about poas before. But I'm not sure if I can do it tomorrow!! I will only be 10 dpo. I may just wait until I'm late to test (period due on 13dpo). I just don't think I'm pregnant and don't want to waste an frer! Plus our morning is going to be so hectic flying out of town - gotta get everyone dressed and out the door by 9!

@winniebee: thanks honey! I am anxious for you too. I don't blame you for wanting to hold out a bit longer. bFNs blow. Especially if its too early to really know if youre out yet.

@winniebee: Wait. You are lucky you have a distraction and it will be easier to resist. FX for you!

Currently waiting for sweetie to get up so we can dunk sticks in my wee together. Actually tested yesterday (neg) just for funsies, fully expecting a negative because it was super wild obscenely early to test.
Today, it is still super wildly early, but, perhaps no longer obscene. Somewhere between 7-9dpo based on opks. Still expecting a negative today, but, I have just enough hope and impatience that I'm going to test anyhow.
We're off on our weekend vacation and I can see I have lot of catching up on this thread to do.

@lilyofthewest: 7-9 DPO is kinda early, but if testing eases your mind then go for it!
@winniebee: Wait if you can! Maybe traveling will really distract you a bit!
FF estimated that I O'd (and temp points that way too) on CD18 last month. Today is my CD18 again. OPK yesterday had color but no where near dark enough. We BD'd this morning. I really need to be temping to see when I O!

@lilyofthewest: good luck !!
I'm just going to wait it out. I'm sorry I know how we all love poas news!! Bringing one frer to Nola just in case
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@mfa_lady: How many days of + OPKs did you end up with?
@snowjewelz: I found temping to be invaluable the first few months of charting/TTC. Besides confirming that I really was O'ing, temping really helped me to understand my body and read all of my O signs. Once I established that OPKs worked well for me and that I had very regular cycles (O at CD17-18 with a 14-day LP), I stopped temping... but I am so glad that I did for those first months (I temped for 6 months).
@winniebee: If you can handle it, I'd wait until you get back. Besides... then you can drink with impunity on your weekend getaway. Especially since you are going to Nola. A weekend in Nola without oysters and booze is just sad.
@lilyofthewest: I am all about "early and often" POAS, but 7-9 DPO is *really* early. If you are okay with seeing a BFN (I am, so no judgment), go for it... but if not, I personally would wait until you know you are at least 11-12 DPO.
@Mrs.Panda: That is what I am hoping for!!! Update - I do think I O'ed from the left/iffy side this month because my left side is very tender and bloated. (I have endo scar tissue on/near both ovaries, so I tend to get a lot of cramping, pain, and bloating around O as that ovary expands and contracts to release an egg.)
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@septca: It's funny cause last month I religiously temped, but didn't use OPK. This month since I'm doing OPK. I got lax about temping and now I realize I really need to do both since my cycle doesn't seen to be regular! And I've been so focused w/ BD EOD, I haven't really checked for other signs of O!

Pretty sure this is going to be the longest week ever. I hope to not test before Friday and would love to make it until Monday, but I am not thinking that is likely.

@septca: 2 days of both lines the same darkness, two days with the test line darker. I'm really hoping it was the real deal!

@mfa_lady: hang in there! distract yourself! or reward yourself for everyday that you can go without testing!

POAS update -- today was my day, BFN this morn on FRER. Pretty disappointed, esp as my boobs have been soooo soooore (abnormally so) so I thought it might be something, but oh well. Still, AF hasn't shown yet so I'm going to wait for that before counting myself totally out and getting rolled over. Plan is to test again Thursday if no AF?

Thanks @radish - trying to stay positive but mostly just want some real clarity (in form of AF or + haha) at this point

@Gigi2: Boooo. I found that I had more symptoms when I wasn't pregnant than when I was (twice) - it's so annoying!

@snowjewelz: Oh, girl, I'm not even close! I'm 4DPO. Haha! Trying not to test until the 21st!

@tidybee - I became a freak with the symptom spotting this month! Oops.
@snowjewelz thanks! It ain't over til it's over
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@mfa_lady: Ahh! Maybe I am glad that I'm not sure when O is so I can't count the days lol!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@snowjewelz: Hahahahaha. I totally know the feeling. Even I'm guessing a little bit--this was my first time every using OPKs. At this point, I'm so happy to know (kind of?) what's going on since I'm on CD 42 (first normal cycle since MC). It's strangely comforting knowing, though...it actually makes me feel like I have MORE self control. Then again, so says the girl at 4DPO. Ask me this weekend and I might not feel the same way...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@mfa_lady: No that's true! It's good to know that you're stable and things are happening! And I'm so glad you're having a normal cycle and a good chance to of BFP
This is my first time using OPK too, but I better be better about temping to pinpoint O. I'm really hoping I can detect the surge!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@snowjewelz: Good luck, lady! I am not temping yet, but I always thought that even OPKs would make me obsess a ton. So far, I've actually found they help me relax a little....probably because I like feeling like I'm in control, at least a little...and a bit of extra knowledge is helping with that.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@mfa_lady: With increased knowledge though I also feel like then BFP should be implied! I can blame my lack of knowledge leading to BFN, but I am afraid to be even more disappointed when I know what's going on and think that I did everything right! In my heart I know that's not how it works but logically it's hard to understand why 1+1 does not = 2!
