@mfa_lady: which day did you decide on for O in the midst of your 4 +OPKs? I got my 4th this morning (seriously, this is why you are supposed to stop once you get a positive...) - the first was clearly darker than the control, the second was positive but much lighter, the third was darker than the control, and today's was lighter again. I have gotten 3 +s a few times in the past, but never 4. In the past, O has generally occurred the day after my first +, and all other signs point to that (CD17) or the next day for this cycle. Not that one day matters much at all, but I like to be precise.

Stark white negatives here. Still not completely certain I did ovulate, but if I did, still only somewhere between 8-10 DPO. So, sticking with the plan of just peeing on an LH & an HCG test until I start a period or get a . We can probably move my POAS date down to TBD, unless we want a category for "PEE ALL THE DAYS!!"
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@lilyofthewest: Obviously we should have a category for "PEE ALL THE DAYS!!!" Sign me up.

@septca: @lilyofthewest: HA. There should totally be a 'pee all the days!' category!

@septca: Hey lady. I am totally not an expert (this is literally my first cycle ever using OPKs), but I chose the third one. Day 3 was the darkest for me--it was almost like a fade in/fade out pattern with that being the strongest. That probably actually means I ovulated one day after that. But...I'm just going with it for this cycle. Good luck!!

@mfa_lady: Nice. How was your CM during that time? Did you have any O pain?
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@septca: @mfa_lady: I usually get multiple days of positives, so I generally go with the last day of fertile CM; my CM tends to dry up really fast the day after I O.

@septca: I usually get multiple days of positive OPKs. I usually put O as the day it's the darkest.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@littlek: Same here. I do darkest or I bite the bullet and say the last positive day. I'd rather be conservative and suffer through more days in the TWW then start testing accidentally when I think I'm 10dpo when I'm actually only 6dpo.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@littlek: Yep, me too - it usually lines up with my last day of fertile CM!
Speaking of, my OPKs are darkening nicely, so I'm hoping to O right on time on Thursday. C'mon O!

@BakerBee: @littlek: @mfa_lady: @theotherstark: Thanks all! I usually get 2-3 days of positives as well, but I have a pretty easy time pinpointing O with pain and CM. I *know* I O'ed this cycle at CD 17 or 18, which is 100% in line with my pre-baby cycles. Yippee!!!! (Even though it was on my "bad" side, I have a strange amount of optimism this cycle - mostly because I am so overjoyed that my cycles are getting back to normal.)

@septca: YAY! Optimism is awesome--you go, girl. Fingers crossed so hard for you!

@littlek: Good to know! This is what I did this cycle. I'm glad I'm not totally off in left field!

I'm waiting to O too... Reaaaally hoping for a dark OPK today! I'm pretty sure this cycle is longer than my last since I haven't O'd yet. I reaaaaally don't want to be in TWW when I'm on vacation later!

Seems like today is O day! I'm still having EWCM this morning but my OPK is starting to fade out. Monitor automatically shows another peak so I don't really count that. The fade out is good though. Seems to still be very near positive so I think we can catch O if we do this month. My son nursed hard all night long again so I'm still feeling a bit like this cycle isn't gonna be the big BFP but ya never know. As I said before I'm mostly just praying for a longer LP.

@septca: I feel good for you too. It's awesome that your body is regulating itself already.

You guys! My nipples are sensitive today! (Only on HB would that sentence have exclamation points, haha.) It's not like they're HURTING or anything, it's just that I had an itch and went to scratch it and noticed they felt different.
By the way, I'm only 5DPO. In other words, this is completely useless information. Hahahaha. Is it next week yet?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Yay! And anything is possible so I def think you can still get your BFP!
@mfa_lady: Hahaha my left boob was itchy last night and I was like hmm, ovulation sign? I hope this week flies by for you!

I'm officially out for this month, ladies. Another BFN this am and then AF showed up with a vengeance a couple hours later (along with a nice pimple, thanks so much). Oh well! DH wants a January baby anyway... Now I can focus on cheering all of you on and a brand new month (and season - yay for spring)!

@snowjewelz: Sometimes I literally poke myself in the boob, you know, to check if it's sore. (Note to self: if you have to poke yourself to make it sore, it doesn't count!! Haha.)

I always got a few days of positives and only one day of a digital smiley test whih coincided with period like cramps so I always called the digital smiley day O day. And got my period 13 days later so think it was pretty accurate!
@Gigi2: rats. Sorry.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@lilyofthewest: lol there should be a category for that!!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Gigi2: Sorry you are out
@MrsMccarthy: FX! Good luck!
I have made it to 7 dpo and I really have zero desire to POAS! I think I can last easily until 10 dpo and hopefully even later.

Thanks @mfa_lady and @winniebee - I am bummed, of course, but am glad to have a fresh start. I'm going to ride my horse every day this week and focus on happy things and hope March brings lots of luck to all of you great women!

@septca: optimism is good! Have it! I too got an OPK on the same day as pre-baby this cycle, so I am optimistic too. Let's get to work;)
@MrsMccarthy: good luck to you! This makes us cycle twins.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@mfa_lady: I had that around 9 dpo this time! But it went away. Boo.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Gigi2: Sorry to hear! Here's to a 2015 baby for you!!
@Radish: That's great! Join the dark side! I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't like to test. But it's because I don't want to be disappointed multiple times!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Radish: stay strong!!
I'm 11dpo and haven't peed on a thing yet. This is the latest I made it while TTC last time except the month I was preg with my son I made it to 12dpo and it was positive.
cherry / 132 posts
@snowjewelz - thanks! And for next month I'm going to try and take some of your anti-testing vibes and follow your example
nectarine / 2079 posts
@snowjewelz: It is usually all I can think about, but this cycle I'm almost dreading it.
@winniebee: Woohoo! Super FX for you!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@winniebee: normal isn't always bad! I hear lots of ladies say they had fewer symptoms their BFP cycle than in other cycles!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@mfa_lady: I've been pregnant twice -- the first time I had no idea until I took an ovulation. Test thinking I was ovulating. Then my nipples were insanely sore so I took a pregnancy test. But then I miscarried early. With my son I was really hungry and cramps that were hard to ignore and then just started feeling hungover. But no sore boobs until a week after I tested positive. So who knows!!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@lilyofthewest: Just be careful not to let them touch (and probably dip the hcg first), because the opk can cause a false positive on an hpt.

@MrsScallop: Glad I'm not the only one "thinking ahead" lol. We had someone, who we NEVER see, questioning us about when we're gonna pop out kids Saturday night but DH is good at evading, "I'm too old and the wife is too young" was his excuse. Goof lol.
