@lilyofthewest: I always figured it was good knowledge to have if I wanted to really mess with DH later when we're done having kids.

@HellOnHeels: Haha, nice!
@lilyofthewest: yes to pee all the days! I'm right there with you
Still negatives over here. I feel better than yesterday, which is great and disappointing all at the same time - ha! Only during the TWW is feeling sick a good thing.

Thanks so much @theotherstark and @mrsmccarthy - it's so, so nice to have this group to share with. Just bought some easter candy to go with my salad and plan on a nice hearty glass of wine tonight I'm really looking fwd to seeing the BFPs from you ladies!!

Now having crazy bad cramps. Can hardly concentrate at work--but they're not really low, they're more like right under and to the side of my bellybutton.
I'm starting to think that this cycle is just really wacky because of my MC and that AF will be here really soon. (According to OPKs, I'm only 5DPO.) Ack. This is the worst!

For those of you who temp and take OPKs, is there ever a gap between positive OPKs and a temp rise? I had 3 positive OPKs (the first day was the darkest) and today it's negative again but my temperature is still low. My guess is that I tried to O bit didn't, but I was wondering if maybe I'll just see the temp rise tomorrow.

@Aria: When I temped, O would occur the day after my first *or* second + OPK (I only test with FMU, so that would be the *second* or *third* day after a + OPK taken in the afternoon/evening - I always catch my surge late). I learned that I have really long surges.

@mfa_lady: I'm one of them. I'm almost desperately waiting on symptoms at 5 weeks. I've had a few little things, but none of the crazy nausea and sore boobs everyone seems to get immediately. I'm trying not to worry about it, I guess!

@ChiCalGoBee: Aw, man--I know it's hard, lady, but hang in there! I'm sure the little bean is so happy in there it just wants you to be happy, too.

Question for you ladies - how many +OPKs do you usually have? I only got 2 days...is that normal?
persimmon / 1121 posts
@Freckles: I've only been doing it for two cycles, but so far the first time I had positives for 3 days (the first the same as the control, and the next two days significantly darker line than the control). This time I only got two positive days, with neither day darker than the control, but I'm not sure I actually ended up ovulating, so there's that.

@Gigi2: Sorry to hear. Actually, i always have a big drink the day i get AF...i figure it's the least i can do.
@Aria: Hmm, that's interesting! Are you sure you didn't O? I wonder if it depends on what OPK is used?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Freckles: I often get 3. Always at least 2. This cycle I got 4. (And I only test with FMU, so... (1) I probably get more +s than other people because my U is more concentrated and the test can pick up smaller amounts of LH, and (2) I *might* get an additional + to those numbers if I tested in the afternoon, since I am not catching my surge until 12+ hours after it starts.)
persimmon / 1121 posts
@Freckles: Well I'll have a better idea tomorrow when I check my temp again, but my OPKs are back to being negative and I didn't get a temp rise this morning to confirm ovulation.
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Freckles: From what I've read it is. I stopped testing after I got two days of positives, so I'm not sure how many days I would have had.

Uggh CD19 and no sign of O. I don't really do the no liquid hold though; but I honestly don't drink that much. I do hold pee; I either go around lunch (after going when I first wake up), or after 4 (after going around lunch). It's been the same darkness (not that dark but def see the line) for a few days now!

@snowjewelz: have you tried using FMU? That's the only way I can get a +.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@septca: I thought I'm not supposed to, b/c the surge builds up throughout the morning and I read that the best time to test is 2pm?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@snowjewelz: yes, that's true - the LH surge starts in the morning, so if you get a + OPK with FMU, you have to assume the surge started the day before. But, like I said, it's the only way I can get a + OPK because I drink a ton of water (and holds are really bad for your kidneys and bladder control muscles!).
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@septca: Thanks for the explanation! I think I will try that since I'm not getting anything anyway. I think I have creamy CM, I just don't know how long my cycle feels like being this month; it'd be nice to know when I can stop testing/BD EOD!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@Freckles: Last cycle I had three days in a row of a positive OPK, but I'm not sure the first day was correct. This cycle it was about 36 hours (I got a first positive late in the evening, and then the last positive two mornings later). I BDed the evening of full-day OPK positives and was lucky enough to get a BFP. FX for you!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@septca: Yep, you're right-I don't drink enough and have to hold my urine (the joys of being a teacher!), so that's how I ended up getting such specifics on OPKs. I'm trying to be better about peeing more frequently and drinking more often now:-). Thanks for the reminder!
honeydew / 7444 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: @septca: I'm always so conflicted b/c they say to be well-hydrated to increase CM, but then you have to decrease water intake or hold your pee to get a stronger reading on OPK. Ugh!!
@snowjewelz: ugh, i hope you get a surge soon!
@Littlebit: @Radish: Okay, good to know!

@mfa_lady: OMG! I feel like you might be pregnant again. I hope i hope i hope!

@Freckles: I used to get a fade in and fade out pattern on my wandfo but only 1 day of digital opk. I had a very short surge window. But have a kid so obviously ovulated!

@aria- you took the words right out if my mouth!!! I am facing the same dilemma--- I got two smiley face opks over the weekend (sat and Sunday) and no temp increase. Not entirely sure what's going on- I hope it's not a bust for this month

@MrsMccarthy: You're sweet for saying it, lady! Just got home from work (a bit early) and slept for an hour and a half. My belly still hurts, but I'm not sure the cramps are low enough to be pregnant cramps. Maybe my body is just boycotting DST!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@winniebee: That's what I was thinking...then I realized I'm only 5DPO. Seems too early!
ETA: My husband is exhausted today, too--maybe we just didn't sleep well last night?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@mfa_lady: lol. You never know. I felt super nauseous earlier. But now I feel fine
