@snowjewelz: Oh, that's SUCH a good point! It's like, the more you know, the more you know what you did "right," meaning it's more difficult to understand a BFN. Dangit. I knew there was a down side! Either way, fingers crossed that there's a BFP in both of our near futures!

@winniebee: Have a wonderful time away! I hope you can enjoy yourself and then come home to a BFP!

Negative as expected. I don't mind seeing a neg. Maybe as this journey goes on it'll start to bug me, but, for now testing inadvisably early is still just fun.
I'm also testing so early because I'm really not sure how early I'm testing. I haven't had a period since 2005. I got a positive OPK on 3/1, but, it was the first day I'd ever taken one. So, I don't know if I caught the surge dead on, or, if it might've been taping down from what would've been an even darker positive a day or two earlier. Until I get a period or a positive I won't feel sure I actually had a successful ovulation at all.
I'm also still peeing on LH sticks every day in case that was a failed attempt at ovulation and there's another one still coming. This is quite the stick habit I've got going...hurrah for cheap bulk tests from Amazon.

@mfa_lady: Haha ignore me and continue to feel good! I think too much I'm also a weird one on HB where I will not test! I am so afraid of extra disappointment.

So I gave in and tested at 9DPO and got an expected BFN. Still not a rollover, but I feel AF coming on, which is okay as I'm ready to get out of the terrible TWW!
FX for everybody coming up to POAS!!

@winniebee: have a great time in NOLA! I have always wanted to go. I hope you come home to a BfP.
@lilyofthewest: you aren't even close to out yet! My son didn't implant till around 11 DPO. Wishing you the best!!!
So I actually have some pretty good news! Today is CD16 and I just got a peak on my monitor and an early morning positive OPK! I used I ovulate CD15. This suggests ill ovulate cD17 or 18. My LP will still determine a lot but I do find this encouraging. Perhaps cutting out all day weaning along with the B6 and cited are helping.

@mfa_lady: it really was. Thanks honey. I hope your TWW is going okay.

@HellOnHeels: 9 DPO is super early!! If AF doesn't show, try again tomorrow or Weds!

1 DPO. Blah. Just throwing that out there. I *despise* the time between O and when it becomes socially acceptable to POAS/symptom spot.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Gigi2: I hope you just have a late implantater! FX for you. @HellOnHeels: you too. I know it's hard not to feel out at this point but ovulation can be very hard to pinpoint exactly and babies can implant on the later side. Let's hope this is the case.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@septca: LOL @ socially acceptable. I feel like most of what we obsess about here would not be IRL! I really do hate those 1-10 DPO. Wondering "did the sperm meet the egg?" "what are they doing in there?"
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@snowjewelz: Yep. I am a total planner so I hate this part of the TWW because I spend way too much time thinking about how my potential EDD would affect travel/work/holidays/mat leave. I get myself all prepped and then get... a BFN. So fun!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@septca: I can't even think of those things b/c all I want is a BFP! I don't want my child to have a winter birthday (I have one and don't like it), but I rather just have a baby than not at this point lol.
My friend is due right around her best friend's out of state wedding so she had to decline being a bridesmaid and going But of course she's more excited about having a baby haha.

@septca: Same. I'm all symptom spotting and telling myself it is impossible to have any pregnancy symptoms right now.

@MrsMccarthy: Great news!
@Radish: I think we are TWW buddies...ugh, the wait is killing me. I'm so sick right now and want to take some advil but i'm all like, "but what if i'm pregnant??"
Am i the only one who finds it hard to catch up on the thread sometimes?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Freckles: Not at all! I don't really come on the weekends; last month we had a string of BFPs and I was like, wait who, what page?!
honeydew / 7444 posts
@snowjewelz: Yes, sometimes i'll have to go back a few pages and make sure i didn't already congratulate someone.

@Freckles: Yay! I had the worst headache yesterday - taking medicine never even crossed my mind since I haven't been taking medicine for the most part for 2 years (preg + BF).

@mrsmccarthy: happy for your great O news today! hope you're on you're way to a bfp
I'm sorry for all you ladies out there early in the TWW but glad to know I have lots of symptom-spotting buddies. And LOVE it being "socially acceptable" here! Is it crazy to just test every.darn.day until AF comes?
persimmon / 1328 posts
So, like I mentioned before, I am weak and tested this morning. BFN, but that was expected as this is pretty early (~8 or 9 dpo). I am in full symptom spotting mode, though, which isn't helping. This weekend I had moments where I felt really woozy (which I had with #1) and today I have felt so nauseated. It is likely due to the terrible food I ate all weekend/possibly getting sick, but we'll see!
@MrsMccarthy: hooray for O!
@Freckles: I miss things all the time. I just hope I don't seem rude when I miss congratulating some.
@Gigi2: Ha, at this point, I am considering testing twice a day until AF comes. I have lots of cheapies and I am incredibly impatient!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Gigi2: @Freckles: @theotherstark: @MrsScallop: @ChiCalGoBee: thanks darlings! It feels good to be out of limbo land. Now I am just praying for a long LP. Don't ask me what but I feel like this month won't be our BFP. I'm not even sad about it because it feels so inevitable to me so what I am really holding out for is an LP of 10 or more days. As soon as I O I plan to up the dosage of B6 and vitex I am taking in hopes of making that happen. I am also holding out hope that I can get my little boy to ease up on the evening nursing by then. We shall see.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@MrsScallop: bfn at this point is pretty typical. When you get past 11DPO it starts to get a lot less likely but even ten I've seen it happen. FX!

I decided to wait to test until I'm late! But now I'm having all sorta of pinchy cramps lol. I brought one frer on my trip. Just one.
clementine / 899 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: for sure I am going to wait to see if AF doesn't show, don't want to waste anymore FRER's.
@MrsScallop: in the same boat testing buddy... FX for no AF so we can test again!
kiwi / 560 posts
I also tested early like some of you ladies at 9 dpo this morning, which was of course BFN. I thought I was 10 dpo but then I looked at my ovia app and I'm only 9 dpo. Oops. A few weeks ago I said I'd POAS on the 14th, but I ovulated earlier than usual, so I'll be testing again on the 12th (if I don't get AF tomorrow when it is expected), which will be 11 dpo.
clementine / 899 posts
@Kbee: FX for a BFP for you!!! I thought I could make it but gave in before we left for an event on Saturday. I think in my head I was like, "I should test so that I can know if I can drink or not!" Thankfully I wasn't as disappointed about the BFN because there would have been a bombardment of questions about the no booze.
persimmon / 1328 posts
@HellOnHeels: Ha, to be completely honest, I did the same thing on Friday! We left to visit the ILs and I didn't want to play that game yet if I didn't need to. They were really good at guessing what was going on when I was newly pregnant with #1.
