@HellOnHeels: Maybe that was a sign that, that night was not a good one best of luck to you!

So I got a temp spike this morning! BUT I'm kind of wondering if maybe I'm sick because I felt really hot this morning, which isn't normal for me, so I'm not sure... going to have to see what the temps do tomorrow.

  3. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: oo that's big hike! let's see if it keeps climbing!

  4. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@snowjewelz: Thanks! It seems TOO big though, doesn't it??? Like maybe I'm coming down with something and not just a spike from ovulation??

  5. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: Comparing my dip last O to the highest I climbed, it was almost a whole degree! I would see if it climbs so more tomorrow!

  6. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@snowjewelz: That's the hardest thing about temping! You take your temp one morning and then have to wait a whole 24(ish) hours before you can temp again to see if it was a fluke or a pattern is happening!!!

  7. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Adira: I know. I felt like my temps were SO all over the place, but usually by the time cycle ends, it's easier to tell the bigger picture! How's BD gonig if you think you O'd?

@FaithFertility: Thanks, here's hoping! Coming close to the end of the TWW, how you doing?!

    @Adira: FX it's an O temp spike!!!

So AF showed up this morning!
But I'm being optimistic, I start my second round of clomid on Sunday and should Poas on the 28th. I'm a little nervous about how the BD is going to go, my DH doesn't like to be told when to DTD.

@luv2beamom: I'm sorry AF showed up. I hope you will have better news at the end of the month.

Can I reccomend a book to you all? I got this at the library and I'm loving it. It's co written by an RE and a professional of Chinese medicine.

@snowjewelz: If I did O yesterday, then I hit O-1, and O-3. And we're planning on BDing tonight, which will be O+1. So I THINK I covered my bases IF this temp spike is indicating ovulation!

@HellOnHeels: Thanks!! I hope so too since that'll mean my cycle is regulating (I ovulated CD 36 last cycle and this will make CD 30).

@luv2beamom: Awww, sorry about AF! And I hear you about scheduling BDing - it's rough! Especially on our men! Maybe just don't tell him when/why you're BDing and try to seduce him yourself the nights you're supposed to???

@luv2beamom: so sorry, fx for next time!
@mrs. mccarthy: I have heard good things about that book!

@Adira: My temp spike was pretty big, like over a degree. Let's see what tomorrow brings! Also great BD schedule.

@Mrs.Panda: That's encouraging! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

@MrsMccarthy: ill definitely look into that book,

@Adira: I know I feel so bad putting on the pressure! I am going to try that this time around and just be spontaneous throughout the cycle.

  17. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

Ugh, yesterday's temp spike was a fluke. Temps are back down today. I'm so bummed, especially because Hubs and I are already sick of BDing EOD. I totally get why people use OPKs now!

So, I have "found" my cervix. I have been checking it but I have no idea what it means. lOl. It's soft and high.

    @luv2beamom: sorry
@mrs. mccarthy: I just bought that book, but haven't started reading it yet!
@Mrs.Panda: Yay for a temp spike!
@Adira: hugs:: hope it happens soon for you!
@littlek: usually means you're fertile and either just ovulated or are about too

  20. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@littlek: That usually means you're fertile!

@charmed: Thanks, hon! I'm just hoping Hubs and I can keep up BDing because we're already sick of it!

  21. Radish

@littlek: Typically, it is high and soft (and open, but I can't reach mine when it is high) just before ovulation. If you are supposed to ovulate soon, than that is a good sign. Mine also gets like that just before my period as well.

  22. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@Radish: my guess it's right before my period is to start.. AF is due next Friday

CD14 over here and I was hoping that maybe I would have a normal month, but I'm thinking that won't be the case. OPKs and DTD ED if possible.

Question: Do OPKs suddenly show a positive one day or is there a trend toward positive?

  24. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Radish: Why do you think that?

I think you can see faint lines before a true positive, but most OPKs say that if the test line is not as dark as the control, it's not a positive at all. You should only go by a line that's as dark or darker.

I'm on CD7 and I'm not even temping... I'm just gonna wait till CD10 to start everything.

My husband has been under the weather the last few days and he dug out an old thermometer that I stopped using because it wasn't giving me accurate readings. So of course his temps were all over the place and it was making him crazy, "why is my temp so high/low now, what does this mean?" It was funny to have the tables turned and see him over analyzing every temp instead of me

    @littlek: you are brave!!

I think I ovulated on Tuesday (CD 15). I had dull cramps on Sunday and Monday and felt a few super sharp pinches on one side on Tues. But we hadn't BD since Saturday so I am not hopeful. I've been a little crampy again and almost barfed while cutting raw steak last night. Hurray for fake symptom spotting!!

  27. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Radish: when I used wandfos I definitely got a fade in and fade out pattern but I also tested 3x a day. And my darkest line was never as dark as the control line. But I have a kid so I definitely ovulated!

  28. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@snowjewelz: I just think I will ovulate late again. No CM yet, low cervix, etc etc.

Right, I've gotten light lines for the past three days, so I'm wondering if like the day before the surge it is almost positive or if it will still be pretty light. I'm just not sure how fast a typical surge happens and when the tests can pick it up an increase.

  29. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@Radish: I usually see fade in and out.

  30. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@winniebee: That is what I bought. Good to know.

Another Question - Do you typically get a positive OPK after you start having fertile CM? I'm just wondering at what point I should start testing more than once a day (aka is it pointless before I even have fertile CM)

  31. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@Radish: I don't know b/c I don't really trust what's going on w/ my CM! I'm in the same boat as you; I'm not sure if my cycles are regular yet, I think I might just bite the bullet and test everyday from CD10 and on,

  32. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@Radish: My EWCM is all over the place. I usually start testing around CD6.

  33. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@snowjewelz: @littlek: Thanks! I don't want to waste them, but I also want to make sure I catch O or else they were all pointless. Good thing I bought a huge pack.

  34. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Radish: my cm is all over the place now too. Pre baby it was more predictable and it got more ewcmy right around ovulation time.

  35. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@winniebee: I've also found it is hard to tell when you are TTC and DTD regularly -.- That is one of the main reasons I'm using the OPKs this cycle. PP I've been pretty sure when I ovulated, but since last cycle we weren't successful and it would have put my LP shorter than usual, I'm questioning it.

  36. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

Does anyone wish for AF, so they can move on to the next cycle? I feel like this cycle is a bust and I'm hoping AF comes around CD26 not CD29 like last cycle. Once AF shows, I can call the RE and do the lastof my CD3 testing and we can move on to treatment. Woot woot!!

  37. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Radish: I'm trying Togo au naturale for a few cycles and then start opks in a few months

  38. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

Okay girls, I know I'm totally being a crazy person, but give me your opinion! Here's my chart:

    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/38ea73/

If I discard EITHER temps from CD 27 or 28 (the 97.45 ones), FF gives me crosshairs and says I ovulated CD 25. But keeping the temps there, it thinks I didn't ovulate. What do you ladies think??

  39. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@littlek: Yep, I'm right there with ya. Just twiddling my thumbs and waiting for AF to arrive. Lame. What sort of tests are they running? BTW, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for your BFP this month!
