Our town in Michigan is having a candlelit peace walk this evening that we'll be participating in.

@lamariniere: it genuinely brings me to tears, the outpouring of love and concern from other countries. Thank you for marching, it helps me to know we are not overreacting.

@Cole: The entire world is affected by American policy. So many of my non-American friends are worried and appalled by what is going on. You, and we, are not overreacting.

I wish! My somewhat small midwestern town is actually having a march today, but I found out about it too late. DH and I already have plans to go out of town today. I will be marching with all of you in spirit!

With you in spirit. I'm a Legal Aid attorney and fight every day for the rights of the most vulnerable (assuming I don't lose my job under a Trump administration, which is very possible).
Remain vigilant, don't stop fighting. Spread the word. Call out people on their racism, xenophobia, misogyny. When they go low, we go high.

I'm marching in spirit as well!! My mom, sister, and her husband are all marching today. My mom is wearing her pink pussy hat. I live far away from them and work today, but I support all who are marching!

I wish I could (son's birthday party) but my love and thanks are with everybody who is. I find it so inspiring to see how many people are so motivated and fired up.

We were all planning on it but DS was hospitalized for rsv. With you all in spirit!!! (He's doing much better, but I don't want to leave him)

Marching in spirit! We were going to take the kids but it's raining and cold, with snow on the pass to get to the closest march, so we decided it was safer to stay home. I'm so bummed I can't be there. I'm streaming the DC march on my computer in solidarity though.

Not marching today, but guys, the size of these grounds is insane and so so inspiring. I'm literally in tears watching the news.

@Madison43: Just came here to ask if anyone else was crying while scrolling through Facebook/watching the news. This is the most inspiring thing I've seen in my life.
Can't wait to get to our march in an hour!

@Madison43: Same, all the footage is making me cry. This is so so so amazing. I really wish I could be there today!

We marched in Portland, ME too. I'm hearing estimates of 10k
I was sign-less; pic of one of my favorite signs

Was finally brought to GOOD tears from my Facebook feed and news stories today!!! DH and I regret not going into Boston today to join our sisters and allies. Faith = restored

So inspired today, and so wish I was out there but I'm so close to my due date that I didn't think my body could handle it. Dh is out there at the NYC march representing us!

@Chuckles: LOVE that pro choice sign. Yes, yes, yes!
I feel guilty for not having traveled to our nearest march. I have mixed feelings about whether I'd have wanted my 19mo along, and the logistics just didn't work out, but I'm so proud of all those who are marching. The peaceful protests are the only way to make a difference.

@knittylady: I was in oakland! It ended up being more of a stand, way too crowded to even walk. We made it two hours and I felt the solidarity and strength!

I marched in our small Colorado town today. So inspiring to see so many generations together in solidarity.

We marched in Toronto!
My favorite sign was "you can't comb over sexism!"
My last favorite was the humongous rusty hanger.

I went in Ottawa Canada! They expected about 500 and ended up with between 6000 and 8000! So proud to stand in solidarity. One lone guy had a Trump 2016 shirt and everyone just laughed at him. I loved all the signs saying 'a Woman's place is in the resistance', especially when carried by the many kids who were there.

I went, in NYC it was awe inspiring, our DS first protest. One of my signs read MOMS AGAINST CHEETOS

@junebugsmama: Glad you made it to a Oakland. My family ended up going to Walnut Creek. We had to wait for about an 45 min after the rally in a queue for the march. The start of the march was already back at the beginning.

Good job ladies. Trumps press secretary is trying to minimize the numbers for the women's march and pretend the inauguration numbers were much higher.

Our relatively small and historically very conservative town expected 200-300 people and ended up with over 1200 people. I was so proud of my little community!
Watching the coverage and trying to explain to my daughter both brought me to tears many times today. The only silver lining to this whole debacle is it has lifted my sense of complacency.

Marched in Philadelphia with my mom and DS in the stroller. Best sign: "If I wanted the government in my womb, I'd f*** a congressman" !
