    I marched in Seattle. Pre-march estimate was 50,000 people...we ended up with about 130,000. It was amazing and inspiring, despite the reality of why we were all there.

    If anyone wants to have a good cry, look up the song "Bread and Roses" -- I learned it in college and it just kept looking through my head all day. My sign was a couple lines from the song: "For the rising of the women is the rising of us all."

    @Corduroy: Oh wow, we were in WC too! We were towards the front of the march and we were barely moving as well because of the sheer number of people. So inspiring to see such a big crowd! Wish we had made it to Oakland, my friend said it was massive! (@junebugsmama: babywearing toddlers FTW!)

    @hony bologna: Baby wearing for the win. I wore my almost 4 year old for the march. She had a spot in the stroller but she wasn't into staring at butts the whole time.

    I marched in NYC and it was amazing! Not just the size of the crowd but how diverse it was and also how peaceful and supportive everyone was. I saw a ton of great signs but this was one of my favorites as a mom.

    I was in Austin with about 50,000 others. Was great to be a part of it and I hope this energy is just the beginning!

    I didn't march since I had to work but I really wish I had made a a stronger effort to try to go. Thank you to all who went!

    @hony bologna: @Corduroy: that is so awesome the Walnut Creek march was so big! Honestly, I wish oakland was a bit smaller or I joined later and watched from the sidelines. We were stuck in the big mass of people and didn't get to see as many cool signs as I am seeing later on social media. Still, a very cool experience and so glad I brought my son. I hope my shoulder isn't killing me tomorrow! I used to wear him allllll the time but I kept injuring myself. He's 34 lbs at just two and was 30 at 1yo! Hard to make a carrier ergonomic enough for that!

    @Corduroy: Lol, yes! Much better than staring at butts. @junebugsmama: The turnouts everywhere were so impressive! Whoa, both you mamas are strong. Mine's just barely 30 lbs... @junebugsmama: Have you tried woven wraps? I've found them to be a lot more comfortable/customizable to your needs than Ergos, Tulas, etc.

    Marched in Boston with 175,000 patriots! I am just blown away at how many people came out yesterday. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈβœŠ

    I think today would be an amazing day to take make a donation to a cause you support or do some other concrete political action. I'm going to donate to an organization that helps women run for office (thinking Emily's list).

    Let's keep the momentum going!

    @sarac: You marched with one of my husband's good friends. I'm really proud of him because he is a single, typically soft spoken guy but he's smart and respectful and realizes it's not just about women but all of us!

    I knew I wouldn't be up for a large march due to my pregnancy but I found out about a local one last minute and I would have liked to have gone if I was feeling better. I love seeing all of these people united for equality. I knew they were all out there but it's reassuring to see at a time like this. Proud of all of you moms who were out there!

    Another reason why the women's march was so important. This is what he thinks of working women.

    @Maysprout: ha. Well, I hope he gets 16% from everyone he hires for the next four years, and 84% goes to all the other citizens of our country.

    So many of my friends marched yesterday! So proud of everyone who did. I couldn't, but I kept thinking that behind every woman who marched there were ten who could not come but were with the marchers in spirit.

    To everyone else that marched....If you have conservative friends/family on your social media. Does it seem as if they are all collectively losing their shit over this march?? I have seen a huge uptick in complaints about "whiners", and silly memes and conservative blog posts shared, all basically on the same theme: That they want everyone to be silent, basically.

    I have had a couple random haters comment on my post about marching. I could just block them, I know, but I think it's good they are exposed to my post about such an amazing event. So I don't block.

    I guess from one standpoint, it's been interesting to see the "machine" from the conservative side function. Obviously, the goal is to divide and conquer--so we have a brilliant, loving, successful, peaceful march of a million women, and then the Machine starts putting stuff out there about "whiners" and Madonna (quoted totally out of context) and a bunch of other random stuff, and it's instantly latched on to and reshared millions of times. I mean, it works, you have to give them that. They have successfully taught people to blindly believe and reshare without any kind of critical thinking.

    As for me, I am just getting geared up. I have all kinds of action items to work on this week.

    Keep up the momentum, ladies! And Remember, Remember, the 6th of November (2018).

    @Anagram: YES, exactly what you said. Trump supporters are going bonkers about the march. Sadly, I've seen just as many women posting anti march hatred on my feed

    @Anagram: First of all, I don't understand how conservatives can rationalize complaining about "whiners" and "special snowflakes" when the president they chose is the specialist snowflake of all. He has the thinnest skin of anyone I've ever seen. Second, this both made me angry (these men are so offensive!) and laugh because they're apparently too dumb to realize that they're perfectly demonstrating why people marched and might as well wear signs on their foreheads reading "I'm the problem." https://mediamatters.org/blog/2017/01/21/my-shirts-arent-going-iron-themselves-conservatives-launch-attacks-women-s-march/215075

    @Anagram: yes - I'm noticing they're all upset about the March because it didn't have a point and it was just people upset Hillary lost. Conway also said she didn't get the point. You have almost 3 million people protesting around the world because they're mad their side lost?!? .and we're the ones living in the bubble....

    Late to the thread- I marched in Chattanooga, TN with my husband, 2 daughters, mom, dad, and sister (and a handful of girlfriends). There were so many good signs! Ours said "Girls with Dreams become Women with Vision", "Keep Loving/Keep Fighting", "Still Nasty", and my 4 year old's said "because I matter" and "love". 1 year old had a tiny sign that said "I matter".

    @anagram i keep seeing the same (insane) argument: "name one right men have that women don't have". poor persecuted white christian males, when will anything ever go their way???

    @yogirunner @petitenoisette everyone commenting here is a patriot at the truest meaning of the word. We must take it back- to quote Teddy Roosevelt, "Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official, save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country."

    I was at the Dallas march with DS in his stroller - it was much smaller than other big cities but I was still pleasantly surprised by the turnout at city hall. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the crowd filling the open green and spilling out across the street.

    ETA: sign slogan is from a Wire and Honey shirt we love - we made a poster of it because DS' shirt didn't arrive in time for the march.

    @hummusgirl - wish i could have been in Austin. It looked incredible!!

    @purplepeony - I recognize that anassa kata -- I went to the other little school a short (blue) bus ride away. Sadly, I never heard anyone sing that song, and wish I had heard it before today. It is lovely!!

    I went to DC with 6 women from my neighbourhood...such an amazing, positive, powerful and beautiful day. I am so thankful to have been there...
    There were so many beautiful signs there, and while it wasn't the most beautiful, there was one sign that simply said "PROVE US WRONG" that keeps flashing through my mind...
