dropped both furbabies off at the vet for a routine dental cleaning.
just got a call because they found a 1 inch mass in our beagle terrier's throat 
it's been removed and they're sending in for a biopsy.
ugh.
i feel like i've been kicked in the chest. she's only 6 years old. our first fur"baby" :*(

Oh no! I hope everything turns out ok, fingers crossed for you! Before getting a dog I really didn't understand that they are such members of the family and I would be as upset about that news in my dog as anyone else! Lots of positive thoughts for you!

Oh no!! I really hope that they don't find out anything else is wrong.....Hopefully it was just a growth, and now you don't have to worry about anything else.

@mrsjyw: Awww I'm sorry! We just went through this twice. The first one was cancerous and second one benign. Hopefully your fur baby's is benign!

I'm so sorry, I hope you hear good news soon! I think it is a good thing that this finding was during routine maintenance (especially a dental- yay!), so hopefully that means it was caught early. Good job doggie mama!

Thank u all so so much for ur well wishes. Hope I ca. Update w good news soon! They did get the entire mass and she ate dinner and is acting normal aside from grogginess from meds...FX

THANK YOU THANK YOU for all your well wishes. Just got the call! NO CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was just a polyp!!!!!! She has her check-up next week and we'll have to monitor her throat for a few months, but no cancer!!!!
