Super excited! I'm going for a massage tomorrow. I always feel weird though, because I never know whether or not to undress completely, or leave my undies on.
What do you do? Underwear on or off?

I've only had one done once and I wasn't sure what to do! but I kept them off... I suppose it wouldn't have mattered though.

I read/hear somewhere that if you take your underwear off that sends some kind of signal to the masseuse that it's okay to massage your butt.
True? Untrue? I always leave them on...

They do a good job of keepin the bits covered but I always leave them on. I make an effort to wear cuter ones, though. Bra is off. .

@petunia354: oh my...perhaps that's the reason I got quite the butt rub down last time I got a massage. It kinda caught me by surprise...ah-eh

@petunia354: am I weird that I love butt massages? I left mine off for my one and only massage and it was a very upscale spa, and they didn't massage my butt!

I take everything off. I've never once had my butt massaged, not sure what I'd do if I ever had that happen.

I usually take them off, but during pregnancy I've left them on-- just felt like I should. I actually did get a good butt rubdown during my prenatal massage the other day, which was awesome because my muscles were pretty tight... @Mrs. Pen: You're not the only one who likes it!
But yeah, normally at a nice spa, off, but it's totally fine either way.

My first massage I've ever had I left them on, then on ourbhoneymoon, we got a couples massage, and we were instructed to remove everything! Both massages were amazing.
I think I might go the remove everything route tomorrow!

I asked the first time I got a massage and the masseuse told me most people remove everything, but some people leave their underwear on and that's okay too but its easier to work on someone nude. They did a good job of keeping me covered so I never felt exposed.

My massage therapist won't go under things, so if I need her to work on my sciatic pain in my butt, then panties off.

@Mrs. Pen: Not weird at all! When I am really sore from a workout I will sometimes beg DH for one....
maybe I'll leave my underwear off next time and see how it goes!

I usually wear a g-string and leave it on...I can't bring myself to go nude, but al least I minimize what they have to work around.

i've done both! if it was a fancy upscale spa, i would definitely take them off. if it were a regular basic massage place i would leave them on.

On unless stated otherwise - all the spas and massage places I've been to are pretty explicit about whether it's panties on or off.
