We have our bedroom set up in our loft and kids in the bedrooms on the main floor. Everything's open so it's not exactly the same but it hasn't really been an issue as long as baby isn't up all night. Those nights he ends up in our room!

Our master is on the main floor and both kids' bedrooms are upstairs. When we just had one, we moved upstairs to be next to his room. But with the second, we moved back downstairs. The toddler was upstairs (but he was consistently sleeping through the night) and the baby stayed in our room in a bassinet or pack 'n play until 6 months. Then he also moved upstairs. We have video monitors for both. It does suck if someone's sick and has multiple wake-ups because it's a bit of a trek to go up and down, but those are pretty rare.

Ours are on the same floor, but LO was in our room until she was 5 months old.

We have this! Master and 1 bedroom are upstairs and other two rooms are downstairs. Baby is in the upstairs room and LO1 (now 4) is downstairs. I was worried but it has really been fine! I wouldn't be comfortable without a video monitor though. She also was ok coming upstairs if she really needed something even in the dark. It is an adjustment but you will get used to it and it is not an issue.

Master is down while all the other bedrooms are upstairs. If your kid STTN, I think this is fine. Otherwise, going up and down the stairs might be a PIA!
