I was just going through a Hannah Andersson catalog that I got in the mail last night (really cute clothes, BTW) and on the very back cover was a family dressed in completely matching Christmas pajamas. There was even an outfit for the dog! I laughed about it, but I realize that there must be families who buy that stuff.
Would you ever dress your family in completely coordinating outfits?

I never thought I would be one of those moms but I love dressing my LO in outfits that kinda match my clothes either in color, print, or style. I try not to do it too often though cause then it becomes a bit obnoxious, lol. My husband joins in the fun only for family photos.

I visited my parents in the Philippines and went to a place where there were a lot of newlyweds, and there were tons of couples in matching outfits. It definitely helped me keep track of who was together with whom!

I wouldn't do 100% matching, like the same pattern, but the same general color scheme is good for things like family photos. Another time when we did the same color scheme was for the LO's 1st bday party. It was subtle and I think only one of our guests actually noticed anyway!

I don't even like it when twins are dressed in the same outfit. The thrifty side of me just thinks, "Two identical people can share the same wardrobe!" I would be pissed to spend money on two of the same outfit!

Seriously, though, I think coordinating is fine for events or family pictures, but pattern matching is going a little too far!

@Habesbabe: my stepsisters are twins and when they were growing up they ALWAYS!!!!! (extra exclamation points for emphasis!!!) wore the same thing. Jenifer wore pink, Jasmine wore purple. Always. Until they were like 12. Gross.

lol@jenna. the horror! i'm with habesbabe. luckily, my twins won't be the same sex. if they were, i definitely wouldn't dress them the same. they'd have a bigger wardrobe if they got different clothes!

SO cute, one of my gf's and her family do this every Christmas. I'm not sure if I'll try this, but I'm definitely a fan of outfit coordination. Not necessarily matching to the bone, but small snippets of a 'theme' in outfits is always cute in my eyes!

not matching but i do consider what we wear when we go out in public. similar style, color palette. but most of the time i just "consider" it. haha. and not actually do anything to make us coordinate better.

I'm surprised by how often my husband and I will, independently, select similar outfits to wear on a given day.
But then the same thing used to happen in my office when several of us would show up in the same color scheme or something.
I could see doing it in a fun way- like matching Christmas PJs

I've put my hubby & son in matching shirts a time or two. For more important stuff like weddings or photos, I do like to color coordinate us.
