I almost got those instead of the long and leans, but long and lean is exactly what my legs are.

Between my two pregnancies, I've ended up with three pairs of maternity jeans - two from the Gap and one from Old Navy. They all were really comfortable and reasonably priced. The Gap skinny jeans had just the elastic waistband (not the full belly panel). I kind of prefer them to my regular jeans, to be honest....

I have one pair from Pea in the Pod (their house brand I think) that I really like. They are only a half panel though, which I think could be uncomfortable later on. Like you, I plan to wear mostly dresses at the end though, so if they can get me through May, so like 7 months, I'll be happy. I want to get a pair of skinny ones and hope to make do with the 2 pairs until then.
I have one pair a full panel work type pants from Target and they don't stay up that well-- my belly isn't big enough for them at 15 weeks, but I can't wear my regular pants either. I have the dark wash long and leans with the full panel from Gap and I really like them.

@Alivoo01: I think that these are the ones I have. Only I had to get the long and get them hemmed cause the regular were only long enough if I had flip flops on.

I have two pair from the GAP, both long and lean, one full panel and one demi panel. I don't like either pair. The demi digs into my sides and gives me a muffin top. The full panel are saggy in the butt after wearing an hour.

@Smurfette: Oh no on the saggy butt! I was thinking about going to the mall tonight and picking up the pair @blackbird: mentioned. Hm....

I probably bought too many maternity jeans, albeit they were all pretty good deals or on sale! 4 pairs + 1 pair of cords.
I think the best value was my GAP Always Skinny maternity jeans. I bought them when they were 30% or 40% off? They seem to have those deals quite often.
