Have any of you been doing the retail thing when you needed to take maternity leave? I currently manage a bridal salon, and I know that we don't qualify for minimum FMLA laws because we have such a small staff. I know that my boss wants me back ASAP after we give birth (December) and that my leave will be completely unpaid as we don't get paid time off. We're saving now, and I know that Hubs' boss will give him at least one or two nice bonuses when we're off (really cool guy!).
Any thoughts? How did work and leave go for you?
