I thought this was an interesting article and the chart on the right side of the page showing how the US stacks up against other countries kind of hurts.

I know I went part-time and have taken a big backseat in my career once LO arrived, because I had the opportunity and means to stay home, and when I was faced with the choice of handing over my 10 week old to strangers, guess which choice I made? I tell my DH all the time that if we had a policy that allowed at least 1 year of leave I would probably have gone back to work and been fine.
