@mrs. tictactoe: Totally random, but our 5 year anniversary is the 23rd too!

@Torchwood: @mrs. tictactoe: That makes three of us with a 5th anniversary on 5/23! It was a beautiful day to get married! We went on a fun weekend trip back in March & stayed in a hotel in the downtown of our city. It was a really fun and relaxing way to celebrate early!

@HeartAbandoned: We celebrated early too. We were on a company trip to Orlando in March, so we went to Disney World!

@HeartAbandoned: now I'm wishing we got married in May! I'm coming up to 5 years too but we got married in August.

@Torchwood: How fun! I'd love to go to Disney with DH. Maybe one day!
@bhbee: I think it's awesome that so many of us have been married for almost (or exactly!) the same amount of time. Makes me feel at home here!

Wow 3 people with the EXACT same anniversary aka married the same day on this thread. So weird. But also very wow what a small world feeling too.
I was married on 10/10/10 and it so happens we ran into acquaintances the day after we got married and they were married in the same place at the same day as us. Our ceremony had 6 couples getting married that day! What a small world that we kind of knew one of the other couples.

We're coming up on our five year anniversary in October. We are trying for #1. Nice to hear some others in the same boat.

We will be at our 2 year anniversary in November, but it will be our 10 year dating anniversary.

@Crystal: I've been married two years and was married on my 10 year dating anniversary!! Such similarities, us two!
clementine / 933 posts
@Raindrop: Our dating anniversary is 10/10 (of 2003). For a long time I was convinced we'd get married on 10/10/10, but then we decided we didn't want to wait that long 10/10 is still a special day for us!
@AmeliaBedilia: I agree! Having others in a similar situation is helpful, for whatever reason. Nice to know we're not alone, I guess.

DH and I just celebrated our 10-year dating anniversary. It's interesting to see that so many of us have been together so long... it's a sick twist of fate that you would be committed for so long, wait to start a family, and then... not be able to.
DH and I started TTC about 6 months after we got married, and DD took her sweet time showing up. BUT, I will say (disclaimer: super judgmental statement ahead) that we were *soooooooo* much better prepared to be parents than our friends who got KU easily. Because it took us so long to conceive, we knew we *really* wanted a baby and we were very ready to make the sacrifices that entails. Some of our friends, not so much.
So there is a silver lining to IF after all!!
Just think how insanely excited you will be to give up cocktails out and weekends away and last minute trips to the beach! (dripping with sarcasm)

This September will be 8 years dating and 4 years married for us!
Speaking of being together for long... SIL just got engaged to her 11 year older boyfriend of one to two months and they're getting married this September. Eek! And she's not pregnant. So crazy.

@LindsayInNY: Wow. That's fast.
Our 4-year anniversary is also in September!

@septca: @littlek: I know... I guess "when you know"? That's not like SIL at all so I know she's not just settling or rushing into marriage. She's 29 1/2 and had a savings account to eventually do IUI/IVF on her own and become a single mom. She's very "I am woman, hear me roar" and everything. It's just so crazy!!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@LindsayInNY: Well, good for her! We have a friend who just had a baby on her own (through IUI) at 38... she said all her friends were freezing their eggs and she figured, why not just go for it?

I love hearing all the dating and wedding dates!
I promised a chart and I totally forgot last night. Here is my chart. :). Again the first time temping.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@septca: cd20? I took cd19 out and my crosshairs disappeared . Just tried cd20 - crosshairs the same.
bananas / 9229 posts
@Raindrop: What about adding future temps in? I'm wondering if you Oed on CD22 instead of CD19. CD19 seems suspect since you continued to have + OPKs. Sometimes FF does that... Right now I still have crosshairs for CD15 and I *know* I didn't O then. In another day or two, they should move to CD17. I'm wondering if that'll happen to you?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Raindrop: Cool. If you took out CD19 and then temped for a few more days, I am 99% sure FF would give you CHs at CD22. But with your temps the way they are, I am in agreement with FF (on CD19).
I also agree with @LindsayinNY - CD22 is very possible without that low CD19 temp... but I often have multiple days of + OPKs (and always O the day of or day after my *first* + OPK).

I love that so many of us are celebrating our 5 year anniversaries this year! We usually don't exchange gifts, but maybe I'll get DH something this year. What are you guys thinking of giving?
@Raindrop: I am not very good at chart interpreting, but @septca is!! She was right on when I posted my weird chart last cycle.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@LindsayInNY: @septca: @mrs. tictactoe: Thanks ladies! All the comments where great. I will wait it out and see if the crosshairs change with new temps.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@MrsMcD: I know! I love it!
@septca: How do you time that with BDing? Using Wandfo OPKs, I had such a slow lead in with almost positives that I was BDing in preparation. With the new Babi brand I just got, it was a BAM- POSITIVE, which I didn't expect, so BD timing was off. Do you just start BDing as soon as you get any substantial color?
I love how many chart experts we have on here!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Crystal: it's a good question, and one I don't really have an answer for. I *always* O at CD17-18, so I can plan BD without the OPKs. OPKs are really just confirmation for me.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Crystal: I am not someone who gets much lead-in on OPKs (maybe 12 hours max?). I try to predict it through CM, but honestly I think if you just make sure you can hit the day of the OPK+ and the next day or so you're still in good shape.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@septca: My cycle has been so crazy since I miscarried- before that it was always a predictable 28 days. I am hoping that it is finally settling down.
@bhbee: thanks! I will need to start paying more attention to that. How often a day did you check it?
Any more news?
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Crystal: I used wondfos 2x/day when I was close to my window (reasonably predictable at cd15-18). for example this last cycle, I took one with FMU that was pretty dark but not positive, after days of light lines. by evening I had a full positive. this cycle we had a lot going on so we didn't BD until that day.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
and yes I do have news. my beta today was 185 (vs 73 on wed so a little more than double)! I'm starting to let myself believe it a little. I'm going to get an ultrasound in a little less than 2 weeks, one of the few good things about working with an RE.

@bhbee: How often do you check CM?
I was using the Babi once a day until I got a susbstantial line, but I think I missed my surge. I think I need to use them more often this next month.
YAYAYAYA! Congrats!!!!!
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Crystal: I used to check a couple times a day, though I can't remember it ever changing in the course of a day. TMI but the best time to check is right after a BM, since it kind of moves it down. some people are totally grossed out by checking CM but it doesn't bother me.
eta: this cycle I took allergy meds and didn't have an CM worth checking . . . but usually I will get EWCM around the same time as my OPK+.

@Mrs.Panda: Nope, I got a rejection letter for that too! It's been that kind of a week.

My BFF just had her baby today and I get to go snuggle her tiny goodness. So bittersweet.
