I was sort of induced with baby #2. I went in for my induction and got Cervidil. And the cervidil alone put me into labor, so I didn't have any pitocin. And I had an unmedicated birth (no epidural). Not by choice but it went so fast I did not have time. I had no break between contractions and it was horrrrrrible. But, over quickly.

@DesertDreams88: different opinions is different to me than what you said. Your original post came off as pretty disparaging to anyone who doesn't get an epi. I think it's great for everyone to birth as they want to as long as it's safe. It's always hard to read tone in something written but it just came off as an I think everyone should birth this way because it worked for me
I personally would still be birthing without an epi even if I didn't have a medical concern about it

@DesertDreams88: Look, I had two c-sections. First was an emergency after a whole host of things went wrong, second was planned. So clearly I'm no stranger to interventions, and am thankful for my incredible OB that helped bring two healthy babies into the world. I would think and hope those who went med-free wouldn't judge my births, and I do the same. I think the language you used ("No need for self-flagellation or martyrdom") is what's understandably touching a nerve. That's all.
