I’m not a fan of the Melissa and Doug wooden toy packaging. It feels to sturdy to just toss but it also doesn’t contain the pieces well for storage. I keep them around and then occasionally throw they out. Does anyone repurpose these trays?

@Corduroy: same! Why no lid? I use them as baskets to corral the little toy pieces that accumulate in my play room but it feels like there should be a better use.

Yes. We have used them for organizers, a tea box insert and a frame for a collage. Maybe could even use as a lightbox.

Same. Some work ok (Dino magnets, lacing beads, dress up magnet dolls) bc I store the toys flat in drawers. Others, like stamp sets, I keep on a shelf (empty) to put the toy back in when I sell or donate. I always think you’re going to come up with some sort of interim use for them, but… Nope!
