My girls rolls and lifts her legs up and flails around. She's our 4 month crib ninja. When I found myself holding her arms by her side to help her relax tonight, I wondered if I should be letting the Merlin's suit do the work instead!

Yay all the way! I even blogged about it!

It wasnt as helpful sadly with my daughter as she wanted to sleep on her belly and still does at almost 2 but it was a game changer for us with my son and for that I swear by it.

Yay for us! From about 3 months to 4.5 months. I started by getting just one off of amazon to try it and when we all liked it I got another. Just rotates them every few days.

I've resisted b/c I feel like she's just got to learn to roll around and be ok with that. But even if it got us a few nights of better sleep, I would be happy!
Does it make middle of the night nursing and diaper changes difficult?
@mrs. chocolate: that is a very convincing "yay!" Thanks for sharing.
@blackbird: how long did you guys use it for?
@sweetiepie: why did you stop at 4.5 months?

@Happygal: a month. E rolled over in it at 5.5 months and it wasn't safe to use then the first night she wore it, she STTN!

@Happygal: we used one for about a month or two- it worked great for the first several weeks then I think she got strong enough that she was still flailing through it? Honestly for the month that t really helped, it was worth it.
It did make motn nursing more difficult because she was sort of stiff but I didn't take her out. I had stopped changing her diaper unless t was poopy by that point.

@Happygal: only because at that point he was a big baby (literally, ha) and we would have to move up to the next size. So before doing that I tried a few naps without it and he did ok. I definitely know people who used it longer. For the month and a half we had it, he slept amazingly!
As far as nursing and diaper changes - we bottle fed and it was fine. Not sure if nursing makes a difference. And we stopped diaper changes about a month in when my ped told me not to! So I can't say what changing a diaper would be like for sure, but I imagine it is a small pain.

We used it from 3 months till 7 months. I won't say it was a sleep magic bullet--as in, our very bad sleeper didn't suddenly start STTN. BUT she did sleep slightly better and it kept her warm through the winter. It also kept her from rolling in her sleep for many months after she could do it awake, and as a first time mom, I liked that.

Definitely YAY! I actually am borrowing two from @SweetiePie:, and they're awesome! E can still kick her legs and has a decent range of motion with her arms, but she's protected and can't be quite as maniacal. She's also a finger-sucker, and so the hand access is clutch for us.
ETA: We tried about a bazillion swaddles and a Zipadeezip, but girlfriend HATED not being able to get to her hands. The Merlin suit is the perfect medium.

We love the Merlin suit! We started using it about a week ago when swaddling her was actually making her sleep worse and she's been sleeping through the night since we started using it. She's been rolling a lot lately and won't stay on her back for more than a minute but she hardly moves at all in the suit.

Sadly it didn't work for my LO. He desperately wanted to suck on his thumb and couldn't access it.
