So, baby girl number two is coming in April. My daughters name is Piper, middle name Delaney. We like the name Bonnie. Which middle name do you think goes best? Other suggestions? Last name starts with T. Thanks!!

I think Bonnie Mae flows the best but Bonnie Claire is the prettiest. All great choices though

Thanks for everyone's comments! Looks like Bonnie Mae is winning so far! Keep the votes coming!

I’m due with boy/girl twins in December and our girl is going to be Evelyn Mae, so I’m kind of partial to Bonnie Mae! ️

I voted for Mae, it's so nice. I think Bonnie Claire is a little clunky compared to Bonnie Mae, but both are pretty. (Also, I know this is an unpopular opinion but IMO Claire is the new Jennifer.) Do you have a gut instinct?

Chiming in with the thinking behind my vote (Bonnie Claire)...
Bonnie isn't a nickname but can feel like one to me because it feels less formal. Mae also sounds informal, so putting them together emphasizes that. Claire is a more "classic" name if you will, so when it's paired with an informal first name like Bonnie, it feels more balanced to me.
I have big love for the name Rae (best friend's nickname and very good friends new daughter's middle) but when paired with Bonnie I immediately either think of Bonnie Raitt or Bille Ray. Looks like that hasn't gotten votes but if it's on your list I figured I'd share where my mind goes with that option.
All that really matters is that you love it though

Thank you for all the input ladies!
@LCTBQE: No, not really lol I'm having a hard time deciding because with my daughter...it just clicked as soon as my husband mentioned Delaney, it was just right, you know?
@lindseykaye: I think that's why I'm having a hard time deciding (the informal-ness of some of them). I don't mind the country feel of Rae, I just don't know if its right. Every time I say Bonnie Rae in my head, I hear Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama saying "Bobby Ray!" lol and that's throwing me off a bit.
So, I thought of two more this morning on my way to work I haven't run passed my husband yet. But, if anyone wants to comment on either of these:
Bonnie Kate
or
Bonnie Elise
I know I said in the OP, last name starts with a "T"...the beginning is actually Tra.... I don't know if Bonnie Kate Tra... is clunky or not though. Any opinions are appreciated!

@JennyLayneAZ: I empathize, I couldn't figure out a middle name for my daughter and still am not too sure about the one we chose--mostly just wanted to GTFO of the hospital and impulse-purchased it. I do think the hard T ending of Kate is a bit tough re flow with your name name ?? Maybe writing them all down on flash cards and just tacking them up on the fridge and sitting with it for a while will help.

@LCTBQE: so, I have three pregnancy apps and I'm trying out the different names on each of them lol. I might just make dh choose 🤷♀️

You just need to figure out what's easiest for you to yell out when she misbehaves.

@Mommy Finger: EXACTLY!! LOL that is literally the only time I use DD1's middle name unless I'm talking specifically about names

@JennyLayneAZ: I like Bonnie Elise! Flows nicely, looks nice written (if used on resume, diploma, wedding invitation, etc) the middle is a little more formal to contrast the first. In truth I am not sure about either of my own girl middle names!!

@JennyLayneAZ: I vote for Bonnie Elise as well. It’s @bhbee: comment that made me vote this way - it will look gorgeous on a wedding invitation and seems so balanced between the two names.

@JennyLayneAZ: I also really love Bonnie Elise. It fits with my original comments re: Claire and I like the soft vowel sounds vs. the hard consonant of Claire.

@bhbee: @MrsJBeeG: @skiierchck99: @lindseykaye: Aww, thank you ladies. I really like this one too. Now to see if I can get DH on board....I've mentioned Elise before (not as a middle) and gotten no response...which is his way of saying either "eh" or "no" without actually saying it. Fingers crossed!! He doesn't like a lot of the names I do. He's quite stubborn lol

@JennyLayneAZ: What are some of the names he's suggested or liked? Maybe we can brainstorm some with ya to see if there's anything else out there that might appeal to him I had my last baby last year and I love thinking of names so HB is my outlet lol

@lindseykaye: He suggested all of the names in the poll lol I think his favorite is Rae. It was the first one he came up with, and the only one he came up with on his own. The others he found online and I picked the ones I liked the most.
He's also still fighting (lightly, he's not pushing lol) to use our back up name from DD1 = Savannah Victoria. Its a beautiful name, I just feel like it doesn't fit with Piper. It feels like a mouth full next to her name.
I was actually surprised when I suggested Bonnie to him and he liked it. If it were solely up to me to name this one, her name would probably be either Peyton (he's "over it"), Tatum, or Hadley (he doesn't like the last two).
