He seems totally scary based on everything I've read ( I am socially liberal.) I saw a graph yesterday that showed that he was more conservative than any Republican president or vice president or nominee. Here is what I've heard/read:
This is the guy that took money from aids funding to put into funding to "cure" gay people of being gay. He accused Disney's Mulan of being liberal propaganda for women in the military. He passed anti-abortion legislation that prevented women from getting abortions for medical reasons, and I know he was the guy that people were sending pads and tampons to because he insinuated that all miscarriages were suspicious and should be investigated. He also mocked women who were working mothers for wanting to have it all. He seems very anti-women and anti-LBGTQ. He has an extremely low approval rating in his home state.
Anyone with more information about this guy? People are saying that he came off as so normal and classy last night. I guess in comparison… But really I think he scares me more than Trump.

He signed a bill earlier this year that would have required a funeral for any fetus after miscarriage or abortion no matter how far along the mother was. "Even if a woman had a miscarriage at eight weeks of pregnancy at home, she would have to keep the blood and tissue, take it to a hospital, and have it buried or cremated by a funeral home."

Oh, and according to Trump, it's totally okay that Mike Pence voted FOR the Iraq War because that was in the past and we all make mistakes, but the fact that Hillary voted for it makes her unfit to be president.

He's as scary as Cruz, who IMO has always been much scarier than Trump because he's a true believer. It's especially scary since Trump has been pretty forethcoming with his plans to basically outsource all major governing to his VP.
As a woman, the level and amount of vitriolic hatred being lobbed at Clinton, feminists, working mothers and women generally makes me very, very uncomfortable. It’s gone well past that bar for normal and well into very scary territory.

Well and the thing that makes me the most uncomfortable about it is that trumps campaign has publicly said that he wants a vice President that will basically do all of the policy stuff. He said he wants someone with experience to do all of the stuff that he doesn't want to do. Domestic policy, and foreign-policy.
Btw: is that even legal? Is a president allowed to outsource all of their authority? -

This man scares me more than Trump, and Trump scares the bejesus out of me. I know the argument from the Trump camp is that Hilary shamed all of the women who accused her husband of sexual assault, but I can't ever vote for someone who signed a bill that said I would have had to have 4 funerals for the miscarriages I had. It was hard enough losing those 4 children I wanted so badly...now he wants me "investigated" to see if I was at fault for them and forcing me to hold a funeral for them. No.

My friend and I have a running joke about trump being terrified to have made it this far....pence was his last ditch effort to get people to stop voting for him.
He's awful. I don't understand how any of the republicans I know can bare to associate themselves with this party anymore. It's crazy. -

@Silva: You may be onto something...have you read the reports that Trump tried to get Kasich as VP by offering that he could be in charge of "foreign and domestic policy." Like what else is there? I think Trump just wants to win, but he doesn't actually want to do anything (as evidenced by the fact that he has no actual concrete plans for the presidency...) Apparently he would like his role as president to be like a "chairman of the board," e.g. a figurehead. Lovely.

@nana87: That's terrifying. I hadn't bothered to research this guy because I already know I wasn't going to vote for him. I can only hope this wakes up some of the Trump supporters who was hoping for a good VP to make up for Trump's flaws (not that any VP could do that).
@yoursilverlining: I can't agree enough. Cruz was worse than Trump because he had policies to go along with his rhetoric that may have actually passed Congress in some form. Trump is so divisive and his policies so nonexistent/impossible that I don't see him doing anything other than ticking everyone off.

@lawbee11: have you seen the wonderfully amazing response to the bill? Periods for Pence. I follow them on Facebook, it's to get women to call Pence's office re: their periods. Since named vp candidate, a secondary movement Tampons for Trump has emerged.

I live in Indiana and he's awful. Selfishly his running is good for Indiana because he had to withdraw his campaign for reelection as governor. It was looking likely he was going to lose, from what I've read. The way he stomps all over LGBT and women's rights is appalling. The way he talks about "upholding the Constitution" after the things he's done is ridiculous.

I don't know details, but I know that he is very much disliked by public school teachers and teachers unions in Indiana, so that makes him a huge no for me.
