Did any of you look into a mini-crib? I love the size of them, but worry that after a few months LO would need something bigger. I've been pretty set on an Ikea crib, but saw a few mini cribs at Babys-R-Us, and have been curious since.
Have you heard any complaints or loves about them?

My first DD was in one... only til 9 months though. She was/is above average height for her age though and moves around a lot in her sleep.

we have one. LO is only 1 month, but I could sleep on a standard crib mattress, why does a baby need such a big crib?

We have the IKEA Gulliver and it's small compared to most other standard cribs. My son is 18 months and he fits in it just fine. I didn't want something that we would convert to a toddler or larger bed, though. I just wanted a standard crib and we'll do something else for his big boy room/bed.

We have a mini crib!
We live in a small townhouse in Boston and for now DS is in our room. The only complaint I have is that there are zero choices for cute bedding unless you want to spend a fortune and most have to be ordered online.
It's very sturdy, has the same look as a full size crib and converts into a twin bed, (and I liked that option better than the full size crib converting into a queen bed.)

@looch: The Gulliver is the "full size" that we are considering. @rachiecakes: I'm okay with non-fancy bedding. Which one did you go with?

We have the Gulliver at home, and we use the IKEA jersey sheets, I LOVE them. You can't beat the price and they're super soft.
The thing with the Gulliver is that once you lower the crib to the second setting, you can't really use the skirt any longer.

I meant to also write that the Gulliver sold in Europe is smaller than what's sold in the US, so I thought it might be a mini-crib, but it has the same dimensions as the DaVinci Rivington we have in our US apartment.
Our European Gulliver is much smaller, I'd consider it a mini crib if I'd compared it to US sizes.
