My mom is gearing up for an epic shopping trip when she comes home for a week in March. She was talking about a few brands she loved when she was dressing my bro over 20 years ago like Granimals and United Colors of Benetton. I was surprised she didn't mention Oshkosh because I clearly remember Oshkosh overalls! We're also going to visit Carter's and H&M (seems to be a HB favorite).
What kind of stuff does your mom or MIL put your LO in?

Clothes that are 24 years old! She saved everything from my brother.. I can see some of the cuter things (like 'vintage' Osh Gosh bibs) but she even saved the cheapo onesies that are stained. Thanks mom, but not so much.
I do try and get him in some of the cuter 'vintage' outfits for at least a cute pic though.

MIL shops at Carters and Kohls for the kids.
My mom shops at Gap, Target, and J&J.
They both are very good about not buying a ton of clothing though because we're always so overstocked from my sale hauls and gifts from friends.

every season change, MIL orders about $50 of Carters stuff to get the free shipping, and mostly clearance items.. so we get a lot of stuff. Thus, why LO is mostly dressed in Carters, with the few cute Target, H&M and Gap items I find for cheap mixed in.

MIL seems to shop exclusively at Carters. I usually like most of her choices.
My dad also loves to buy clothes for LO. He gives us a combo of Disney stuff, local sports team gear, and Juicy Couture. It's sort of hilarious.

My mom is disabled so she can't do much shopping but every so often she'll get me something Care Bears related from Amazon because I was obsessed as a kid.
My MIL only buys us stuff on sale from Ross or Mervyns. What I like about her shopping is that it's always practical stuff like onesies and comfy stuff. Most people get her fancy outfits that I feel bad making her nap in so she really never wears them.

My mom likes Children's Place because it's inexpensive and she has 4 grandkids to shop for! She sometimes gets cute " Southern" ruffly stuff for DD, since she lives in Texas and her preschoolers live in all that cutesy stuff. My MIL recently "discovered" Hanna Andersson and has been bringing the kids PJs she's ordered from there.

My mom buys either Carters or Costco brand (for pjs). The pjs are great quality and priced right, but they are snaps, and it's hard to get LO dressed in the evening (or anytime, really!). We'll put on his Walmart brand ones first, since they are zippers.
MIL has only bought a few things, but one of them has been a snowsuit from LL Bean. It's fushia and a bluish purple, which makes me think it was marketed towards girls, but whatever, I'm okay dressing my boy in it. My mom thought it was odd that she chose that one, and MIL even asked if it was okay since if we had a girl next we could use it (though who knows if the seasons would even be right). Anyway, I'm sure she got it since that colour was on sale, and I'm totally okay with that, since winter gear is crazy expensive!

My parents are crazy. They buy the kids stuff from Ralph Lauren, Jacadi, and North Face. My mom also likes the stuff from Gymboree, Zara and Gap.

My mom loves BabyGap, since there is a place in town. She also got some basic stuff at Carters, also in town. She doesn't really know how to shop online, lol.

My mom gets us a lot of Mud Pie items since her friend has a boutique that carries the line. But not often does she buy us clothes.
My MIL loves to buy the girls clothes and does Carter's, Target, that kind of stuff. I appreciate that the clothes are cute and comfy. I don't want too nice of things that the preschooler can't wear whenever she wants and the baby is growing too fast to spend much $ on everyday clothes. She has some special outfits of course.

My MIL only shops at Nordstrom for the girls. The clothing is amazing, but I cringe at the prices she pays for items they will only wear a few times, at best, before they grow out of it.
My mom buys from Macy's, tj maxx, and marshalls.

My mom picks stuff up for DD whenever she's out shopping for other things. She gets a lot of DD's nightgowns at Costco, and picks up Hello Kitty stuff at Macy's. Kohl's and Babies R Us is really close-by and there's a Gap Outlet not so far away. She used to pick stuff up at Carter's since its on her way to my aunt's place, but it's been replaced by the Disney Store. I'm not complaining

@BandDmommy: I just took back some Carter's stuff that a friend gave because of all the writing on it- Daddy's this/ Mommy's that. Too much pressure for a kid lol

Mil goes nuts and buys lo a LOT of clothes (like, at least half lo's wardrobe, it's ridiculous) and she mainly shops at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. My favorite brands of the stuff she buys are Peek and Tucker + Tate. My daughter is more stylish than I am, lol.

My MIL buys really practical clothes for E - sensible, plain tops and fleeces (gah! Fleeces!). She has also bought her a couple of kilt type skirts *cringe*. I always use the things she buys though because its nice of her to buy things and I'm grateful. Actually, my favourite ever cardigan of E's was a present from Nanny.
