Lately we do "what was your favourite part of the day?" while in bed. I actually love lying in bed with her (usually for 15-30 min) and would stay until she fell asleep if it didn't have any consequences (I.e., waking up in the MOTN because I'm no longer there). I know soon enough she will be "gross mom, get out of my bed!"

This reminds of something: last night my son had a bad dream and I heard whining sounds coming from his room. Instead of consoling him, I just laid down next to him and he quickly became quiet. We both fell back to sleep. This morning, he said, "Thank you for laying with me, Mama."

Aww these are so sweet! Saturday I told my little girl I wouldn't lay with her for bedtime (don't want to start a habit) but I said for nap the next day we could. Of course nap time on Sunday came around and she remembered. Unfortunately I had to nurse the baby at that time but I promised I would come in later. As I went in when she was asleep I was so excited to get to watch her face as she woke and realized I was there with her.
Her love language is physical touch so she needs lots of love and cuddles.
