As we're now only 8 and a bit weeks away from LO #2 arriving, I'm wondering how to go about introducing my then to be 19 month old to her new sibling once he/she arrives. Should we have her come to the hospital to see mummy and baby there? Or would that be too difficult? Should I be holding the new baby or have my arms free to hug my LO before introducing her to the new baby? Should I let her take an interest on her own or should I try and help her interact with the baby from the start?

Silly questions, I know, but I'm just trying to figure out what would be best. The main question I guess is did you have your older child(ren) brought to the hospital to meet the new baby, or did you wait until you went home? I think I'm just worried that LO will be so upset when she has to leave the hospital without me so maybe it would be better to not see her for my hopefully extremely brief hospital stay, even though that thought breaks my heart!
