Does anyone have one of these? I was thinking of getting one but wanted to hear your thoughts!

@californiadreams: I haven't seen it in person, but from what I'm seeing online it's a journal that spans 5 years (I think), and you write a line a day...maybe something that happened? Lol not exactly sure

I love mine and have had it for almost a year now. I really like that it is something that you can do so quickly. I do it every night before bed and I find it a great way to "sign off" for the night.
I also have started to give them as gifts to all the new mommies in my life

I have the same brand but just the regular journal a day one. Basically all it is is a page for every date. On that page is five sections where you fill in the year and then lines for a short two sentence or so blurb. I personally LOVE it. I love looking down and seeing what I was doing on this day a year ago and can't wait until I'm in my last year with it seeing how far I've come. I am also planning on getting another (or the mom specific one) once our LO is born so that I can have one that is completely focused on the kid. I'm not a journaler, but this short blurb works really well for me and only takes a couple of minutes every evening.

I just ordered something like it...but each page has a prompt. I looked at the pink Mom one...but it just didn't feel right for me. I like the prompts, and I figure that if I didn't want to follow them I could just write whatever, no big.
This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/Q-A-Day-5-Year-Journal/dp/0307719774/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1388774183&sr=8-3&keywords=line+a+day+journal

For those of you with two kids, do you just kind of make it about both kiddos?

I got one a few months ago. I usually fill it in a few days at a time, not every single night. I really like the idea!

I have a Mr. Boddington's one not specific to moms and don't get around to writing in it every single day but it's been nice to have since I've been terrible about pregnancy journals.

I have one ... Haven't started using it yet because baby isn't here. We also have the one line a day journey (just the general one). I use it every now & then (when I remember). I do love reading back through it!!

Look at this: http://www.designsponge.com/2010/12/diy-project-vintage-postcard-calendar-journal.html
Isn't this a sweet idea?
I love that you can compare from one year to another.

I have the general one that I started last year, and the one with question prompts that I started this year. Then I also have a plain journal that I write to my daughter every month in. And of course her baby book.

I do, but I completely dropped the ball on it and it hasn't been as easy to update as I thought. I wish I saved my money.

I have one and was pretty sporadic about using it last year...I wish I'd used it more often I'd jot notes in my phone at night to add to it in the morning and got lazy about actually writing them in. I have a lot to fill in!
my resolution this year is to WRITE in it every night. two days in and i'm doing well

My husband got this for me for Christmas! I started it on Jan 1 and hope to keep up with it everyday. I'm leaving it on my nightstand so that I remember to write each night.

I have it. Its on my nightstand and I do it before bed each night. I think it's easy to keep up with....I usually only get behind on trips away. I have two kids and I just use one book. I just try to write a memory from the day, sometimes it's just a line, sometimes it's the whole space. I've really enjoyed looking back on it over the last year.

@fancyfunction: What a thoughtful gift! I tend to write a lot and my thought just flows once I start writing, is there enough room for a short paragraph? Can you take a pic of the inside of it when you get a chance?

@Kimberlybee: Thx - I thought it was so sweet of him! There's some room for a few sentences but you have to write really small. Just saw images on this Amazon link

@fancyfunction: oh cool thanks. That would work for me, I can write small! I am going to order one in lavender!

I have the pink mom's line a day one. I bought it in 2011 while we were struggling to get pregnant. now I am writing on the third row! it really helps me keep track of little cute things, milestones, and how I was feeling (generally only positive so nice to relive them). I think it's really cool to see year to year at this point since 1 to 2 (or 0 to 1) is such a huge jump.
that said I have a naturally disciplined personality - I like having a little 30-second chore every night. I do it right after I put LO to bed for the night. sometimes I write something really boring but I don't stress about it. I think someday my kid(s) might like to read it, the way I loved seeing my old baby book when I was pregnant.
I haven't written anything about trying for #2 and won't until we see a heartbeat, probably. but I think I'll be able to fit two kids in there too.
