I would love to stay at home with LO, but I need to work part time in order for us to be "comfortable." I have not been working since December (on bed rest and then had a baby), so we can definitely make ends meet (bills, gas, food, occasional dates), we just dont have any extra funds. When I go back to work we will be able to save, occasionally take trips, and have a little fun money.
What about you? My DH is in retail management.

I used to work in customer service for the New Zealand version of the IRS... worst. job. EVER. Soo, I quit that as soon as I could, and am now too pregnant to get another job

My DH is in the Air Force. I am a SAHM for the moment but I plan to get a job after LO turns 1.
I am currently trying to make a little extra money on the side making baby items at home. Pillowcase dresses, burp cloths, bibs, petti rompers, blankets, other baby clothes, etc.

DH is an executive chef for a hotel. We also live abroad, which is the only way I'm able to be a SAHM and we are able to live so comfortably.

He's a computer programmer.
He makes enough for us to get by and have a little extra for emergencies, which we always seem to have. I know life would be easier with both of our incomes, but I'd rather b poor and stay home with my lo than have money and have to leave her every day.

My husband is an environmental engineer. I don't plan on being home for very long, just while I'm completing my Master's, but I'd love to go back to work part-time until the kids are school. I think part-time work would be a great compromise for our family.

DH is a radiologist and we plan to have at least 4 kids (LO #1 is 7 weeks) so it's great that I can stay home.

My husband is a railroad conductor. Our decision for me to stay home was based largely on the fact that daycare would cost about as much as I made previously and my husband's work is 100% on call with no way to predict things so we want the stability of our daughter being with me full time and also to have the flexibility of having family meal time be whatever meal he happens to be home for.

I don't SAH yet (and am not 100% on my plans once the baby is here), but DH is a director of communications for a trade association. He is in charge of their monthly magazine, their yearly directory, and their online presence/social media. He's also the company's photographer at all of their events, of which there are lots and lots (so the members can network with each other). He also does about 800 other things, but that's the gist

I'll be a SAHM when baby comes. My husband is a software engineer. He mostly does iPhone apps. I totally don't understand most of what he does but the results are awesome! He has made apps just for the two of us to find an apartment and to plan our London vacation, among other things.

I'll be staying home until the little ones are in school. (I work PT from home, but by part time I mean like 10hrs a week... so don't really consider myself a WAHM.) DH is a police officer, so we're comfortable but wont have much play money until I go back full time.

@Alivoo01: haha...that's what everybody asks me. He does sometimes but very rarely. He actually doesn't cook much at work anymore. He's in charge of all kitchens and cooks, so does more admin stuff.

I plan on going back to work eventually, but we'll definitely have to be transferred to a different station first since we're out in the middle of nowhere and there are ZERO jobs that would pertain to my degree!
I do make some extra moolah though - I'm a direct sales consultant (I sell Discovery Toys) and I've been sewing ring slings and selling them to other women on base. I'm actually considering opening an Etsy shop for baby carriers etc. just to have some extra fun money!

Runs his own information security business--from home, actually, which means we've got an INCREDIBLE set-up and are super lucky that we both get to be home with the baby. Even when he's working, my husband can take 20 minutes to play with the boy while I get a shower or whatever.
