I'd really like to avoid getting pee'd on.
Any tips would be fantastic.
If it's inevitable.. then... I guess I'll just make sure to keep my mouth shut when I change diapers.

I haven't gotten peed on (yet). When LO pees, it always goes one certain direction, so I make sure that he's facing the way on the changing table so that it hits the wall and not me.

Tehehehe, I think DS has peed on everyone in the house (including himself!)! We had the most success with opening up his diaper and then immediately recovering him with a wet wipe. Luckily, it doesn't last too long. I think it only lasted with DS until 3/4 months.

Haha nice "dad" in singular.
Never been peed on! I'm just really careful... I always assume the worst pee wise and prep for it.

DS doesn't have a particularly big range yet, so usually if he pees on anyone it's himself.
However we cloth diaper, and the first month or two there was a small gap around his upper thighs and he leaked on me a few times when I was cradle nursing him. And then peed on me a few days ago--but he was naked and I was carrying him to the bathtub, so totally my fault.

I got pee'd on a lot especially in the newborn days! Just make sure you always have something ready to shield it with! I was never prepared and I would throw the clean diaper over it not thinking and wasted another diaper. You can also buy tee pee's!

I got pee'd on quite a few times early on. It's not that bad but you learn to change a diaper fast.

Just remember, 'flag up, diaper down!' if his lil flag is up, he's likely to pee and you should put the diaper back down for a minute. Taking out a wipe before opening the diap and then putting it over his lil thing will at least keep it from getting any distance. When you put his diaper back on, make sure he's aimed down though, otherwise you're likely to have a leak up the belly.

I got peed on quite often in the beginning but not as much anymore.

My son is 18 months old and working on potty training and I have never been peed on

Ha - I got peed on the very first time I changes his diaper!
I usually put a washcloth on his peepee to block open air pees... He likes to pee as soon as his diaper is off - little stinker.
LO is only 3 weeks old, hopefully we will get the hang of it.

I worked at a daycare for a year and babysat for years. The only time I've ever been peed on was by my baby girl cousin. Don't know if that's luck or what!

@mrs. bird: Haha, "flag up"!!!
That is so true. You can totally tell if there's danger of you getting peed on if the "flag is up"!

Lots of times! I just put a washcloth on top so that it catches some of it. But man...when I forgot to put the wash cloth on, that sucker would squirt so high in the air and get ALLLL over the place! Our changing table is right next to the wall and I swear, that wall has some permanent pee stains. My DH joked that we should just paint that wall yellow. lol
