We switched M to cows milk right around her birthday and she did great. Two weeks ago we dropped the bottles cold turkey and she's hardly taking any milk. I've been giving it to her in a sippy cup at the same time that we used to give her bottles. I'm wondering if she's not hungry because there's not enough time between her 3 milk servings and 3 meals. I'm also worried that if I give the milk with meals she won't take any at all. She also hardly takes any water, but that's a different issue. I'm not even sure what my question is here. Any thoughts?

That's how DS was as well. He still doesn't totally love milk. He would drink it if I put it in a bottle, but once we insisted on sippy cups he was terrible about drinking it! He only gets about one sippy cup a day now, and very rarely drinks the whole thing. His doctor didn't seemed too concerned though.

@MamaBehr: That makes me feel better - thank you! M will take yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, she's just not interested in anything from a cup.
Do you notice a difference if he gets milk with a meal vs on its own? I'm not sure whether to try to change her schedule.

@MrsF: I was offering it to him twice a day, once right when he got up and once with lunch. He didn't really like it in general. I was super worried about calcium intake, but the doc wasn't. He loves yogurt and cheese, so he gets his calcium
Now I just give it to him in the morning, and he sometimes drinks all of it, but not much.

Have you tried a cup with a straw?
DS went on nursing strike and wasn't taking much milk from an open cup or sippy cup.
I noticed he liked drinking from the Honest Kids juice pouch because I could squeeze the pouch and help with juice flow. After we drank one, I cut the top off, washed it out, put BM in it and.. He drank about 9 ounces today! The most he was drinking this past week was 2-6oz.

M drinks water from a straw cup but she doesn't drink much and she sort of coughs a lot while she's drinking. When we first started WCM I tried a straw cup but she didn't seem to really get it. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

If I just give milk to my son with meals he doesn't drink that much. I always do offer it with meals but he also gets it rights when he wakes up and right after his nap and with his snack (after nap). I also let him take milk in the car. He tends to sip on it throughout the afternoon. He drinks anywhere from 10-15 oz a day and is almost 18 months. He also eats lots of cheese.
Now I just give it to him in the morning, and he sometimes drinks all of it, but not much.
