My mom likes to spend early mornings and evenings on her deck and mosquito season is coming. So I bought some pretty citronella candles for her. I feel like most citronella candles are pretty utilitarian and these are lovely.

I’m doing a lot of local businesses this year and it has been really fun searching out options in their respective cities. I love how all these small businesses are putting together special packages and doing free delivery.
My mom - flowers, and a DisneyWorld ornament I happened to pick up for her on our last trip there.
My grandmother - chocolate subscription box
My MIL - baked goods from local bakery and flowers
And because my sisters/SIL are legitimately the best aunts in the world to my girls I’ve arranged some deliveries for them ... macarons for SIL, doughnuts for Sister 1, cookie bouquet for sister 2 and beer (haha) for sister 3.

@MrsSRS: good idea and practical too!
@charm55: good idea on shopping local. That opens up more options and helps small businesses so much right now!

Ohh, I don’t know why but I hadn’t even thought about it yet. Keep the ideas coming. My mom just finished up chemo and my MIL just finished radiation, so I would love to get each of them something extra special.

I’m getting a gift card to my mom’s favorite nursery and DS is in charge of MIL. I’m asking for kyrgies slippers!

I got DW these stupid expensive joggers she wanted (similar to LULU) and CBD bath salts and we’ll take wine and cheese to a park with DS on the day.

I've started an accidental tradition (because we just did it for a few years and it's easy to keep going) for both my mom and my MIL of buying them pretty plants or flowers (not arrangements, but actual plants).
I'll have to call my dad to ask what my mom might like this year. Hydrangeas thrive in her area so it may be another special variety of those which we've done for a few years.
We've sent a bonsai for MIL many times, but we might switch it up this year for something different. I'll probably call FIL to ask what she might like this year in particular.
For myself - I have no idea. I would love DH to put an order in at the local bagel shop for that weekend and pick up or order some pretty flowers for delivery. The bagel shop fills up for orders a week in advance so I will have to semi-do this myself making sure he looks out for the order opening window to snag a spot!

I will pick up a hanging flower basket for my mom and MIL.
For me, I asked for a new convertible backpack/purse and real flowers as well for my flower gardens.

I got my mom a really nice spa quality robe. Not sure what DH is getting for his mom.
For me, I will admit, I went a little overboard. I had a horrible mother's day last year (got thrown up on during mother's day brunch) and not able to do the regulars this year so I decided to use whatever money we would usually spend on mother's day: brunch, massage, flowers, etc and I bought myself some really pretty things from a purse/diaper bag brand in the UK. This is my main splurge and then I got some accessories.

@crazydoglady: Nothing fancy, just this one on Amazon that has good reviews: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083BFYKR8/?coliid=I2XGKJ1K70SDU7&colid=11DXDAFH8MG3R&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I have no idea what to get my mom. She loves gardening so I usually go with something in that realm. But I honestly don't know how to shop for that this year and have it delivered in time. Honestly, I just want to drive the 3 miles and have a meal with her.
As for me, I want a new toaster oven. I'm simple.

Following along as I have been searching for ideas for my step mom, MIL and SIL.
My brother and I are sending a bouquet to my Mom because she usually picks up fresh flowers and hasn't been able to get them for herself.
@charm55: I love the idea of supporting local businesses. I'll have to up my search game to see what options are available near their homes.

Alrighty - chatted with my dad and FIL and the game has changed. Got my mom a really nice blanket for the couch and a little 'book bone' weighted thing that keeps book pages open. She's been reading a lot and *just* finished chemo (YAY) and something comfy for the couch was a better fit this year.
For MIL, she wants some nice/candid photos of the girls together that she can frame and hang. That's a much harder thing to accomplish lol but I will try my best this week to catch something for her
We missed out on the order form for the local bagel shop (order forms are released Sunday for the next weekend and they filled up in like 1 hour) so I'll have to wait for my bagels. Still holding out for some flowers though...

Bought her an air purifier; a nice one so it’s going to be for Father’s Day too haha.

I get hanging baskets/flower pots for front/back porches generally. However, our favorite nursery hasn't opened back up so not sure what I'm going to do now. Not sure if I should just get something not as nice from somewhere else or give my mom the $ to pick up her usual once it opens (supposedly will open later this month).

My LO's been obsessed with making coffee filter "suncatchers" recently (she's made at least 100!) so I took a bunch of those and made bouquets of flowers out of them with her. I added a hand made card from LO and some Godiva chocolates that I had on hand (I always have a stash for rewarding/boosting my supervisees) to a shipping box and off to UPS they went to each of LO's grandmas. Homemade all the way this year!
