I am thinking way down the line, but this is out of curiosity. Right now I am not working & when I return my mom will watch LO. I'd like to enroll her in MDO in the fall, though - she will be almost 1 year at that point. The MDO I'm looking at is 2 days per week 9am-2pm. How does that work with naps? I imagine she will still be taking two naps, so she'd have to take her morning nap there. Do MDO programs do formal nap times, have cribs, etc? This one starts at 6 weeks so I think they must!

@illumina: @rahlyrah: Really? It's huge where I live, maybe because there's a lot of SAHMs. It's like daycare but it's part-time & it's more of a babysitting service than formal childcare. Almost all the ones I know of in my area are run by churches.

@daniellemybelle: nope! But then in the U.K. it's not really common to put a baby in daycare until they're 1 anyway, as most mums are on maternity leave until then.

@daniellemybelle: I so, so wish we could do a MDO program here, and I definitely would if I wasn't working or was able to go part-time (which is my dream, however, my boss refuses to let me work from home or go part-time).
