LO (3.5) has decided he doesn't like movies where someone is mean. Even movies he used to love (Finding Nemo, sword in the stone, etc). It's incredibly hard to find movies where someone isn't mean. So I'm on an endless Paw Patrol loop, and DS has come down with HFM, and we will be stuck inside for a week and I'm going to lose my mind. Any suggestions? Bonus if they are on Netflix.

Cars? My son doesn't like any conflict either. Cars is pretty much the only movie he'll watch

Home? I mean, there are aliens, but there isn't really anyone "mean", per se. My son also doesn't like mean characters, and he loves the movie.

I was just talking with friends about how so many kid movies are sad or scary--parents dying, scary characters, etc. I haven't seen it myself, but my friend said Lilo and Stitch has made the safe list.

my daughter is the same way. she mostly watches youtube videos of the egg lady or taylor swift music videos. but shes okay with mickey mouse clubhouse, jake and the neverland pirates, and lilo and stitch

Most things have bad guys but a few months or so ago we strove to cut out anything with violence. Because if that, we also watch paw patrol endlessly. Another favorite in our house is pj masks- it's a very cute show, although only 1 season.
Inside out

There's a bunch of Curious George movies on Netflix with no bad guy. Netflix also has the Sid the Science Kid movie, the Leapfrog Letter Factory type movies (only 45 minutes or so but my DD loves them), 2 or 3 Winnie the Pooh / Piglet movies.

Super Why and Dinosaur Train come to mind (eta: although these are television shows, but are available on Netflix)!

@bloved: I debated Inside Out! We watched it and loved it as adults. But I wondered if the Anger emotion would be seen as a bad guy? Or that dream scene where things get weird and a little scary...

I will also add that DS1's favorite movie is Frozen. He asks to watch it almost every day. He doesn't understand who is bad guy is, since he's not violent or anything.

@Happygal: my son likes it, but it does not hold his attention like other Disney movies do (so he will sit through it but never really requests it).
I think lilo and stitch does have bad guys- the two aliens from stich's planet are trying to capture him and they do have laser blasters (that being said, I still think it's a super cute movie!).
Not sure if your son is into construction, but we actually watch a lot of hgtv as a family safe alternative as well. Again, not his first pick but good if we are stuck in the house and want background noise.

Planes? Ripslinger is kind of mean, I suppose. The second one doesn't really have a bad guy, though. Wall-E.

@Jess1483: Caillou? ha, the worst, but no bad guys. Robin Hood is pretty good, but id he thinks Doc is mean then i'm sure he wont like prince john & the sherrif.

@mrsbookworm: LOL so my son loves this movie (Cars) too but he gets sad during the part where those mean hot rods wake up mac while he's snoozing and lighting gets separated from him. Lo doesn't like those mean hot rods and is very sad that lighting looses mac. Totally have to fast forward that part. Sensitive kid!!
I would highly recommend the show ummi zoomi, I swear this show taught him how to count.

K is very bad-guy sensitive, and she loves Sid the Science Kid (movie) on Netflix. She really likes Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, because there's no real scary bad guy, but people are mean to the main character so he might not like that.

I think Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is on netflix. It's really sweet and no bad guys or scary parts.
