I was randomly reading something on the website of our crib manufacturer and it said to convert the crib to a toddler bed when they climb out OR hit 36". Has anyone heard this before or followed that rule?
2.75yo and has never attempted to climb out - he's happy as a clam in there. Had no plans of switching him until he climbs out or just doesn't fit comfortably. But he's def hit 36" so now I'm unsure.
People also seem surprised when I say he's still in the crib. Am I crazy?
I think he'll have a really hard time staying in a bed. He climbed out again the other day (seemingly safely though I didn't see it, he just showed up!) so we took out the spring and have the mattress on the floor inside the crib walls to buy us time. It's low enough now though that he has to stand up for me to pick him up.
