DD just turned 5 and will be going to Kindergarten in the fall. However, we are moving cross country (date TBD, but likely May-June this year). The plan is public kindergarten, since the location we're moving to has fabulous public schools.

However, we don't know yet if we're buying a house or renting for a few months when we get down there, and I don't know which school she would be going to.

I'm honestly at a loss of what I need to be doing right now - do I call the school district and have someone walk me through our situation, or do we have to talk to a specific school? Do they have to accept us, since it's public? There's no way she won't get into kindergarten, is there? I am so lost, she's in Jr-K right now but it's a completely different state and public school system (we are moving to TX where they have specific ISD's).

ANYONE have some thoughts or advice? Thank you!!!
