What's the equivalent of this for a boy's nursery?

I would think a bold geometric pattern. I have a few examples in mind. Let me look.

Oooh that's beautiful! I think it could be made gender neutral if instead of flowers, the mural had leaves? Or maybe zoomed out with little jungle animals, like monkeys and birds and a giraffe head peeking in?
ETA after I hit submit I remembered a friend's nursery for her son had birch wall decals that were gorgeous, sort of like this https://www.pinterest.com/pin/40532465366517507/ except with yellow paint

Yep and we're using animals in the decor! @Mamaof2: I wish I was talented to do a whimsical animal.
@TemperanceBrennan: now that you posted those I remembered this one I always liked.
Ugh! Momentary lament that Im not having a girl.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I saw that one and almost posted it, but didn't because of the colors (which you could obviously change!)
I also really love this map decal.
We are team green, but I've just kind of accepted the idea if our little one is a boy, he might have a slightly girly nursery. The rug that we picked out, that I absolutely love, has more pink than any other color.

My first thought was something with trees or forest. This is actually a peel and stick thing...

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: oh so lovely!! I've also had to let go of many beautiful girl nursery inspirations
I'm not sure exactly what kind of animals you planning, but here is a mountain mural I've had my eye one before we decided on space theme.

@lady baltimore: It's from Rosenberry rooms - and super expensive for a wall decal. I think there is also a print of it, but I didn't see it on the website. http://www.rosenberryrooms.com/663-iconic-cultural-world-map-fabric-wall-decal.html

@cam: where is that from? That's pretty spectacular.
@runnerd: here's an example of one of the animals. They're the Sharon Montrose Animal Print Shop Collection.

My son's room is currently "loosely" nautical, but I am thinking about changing it up and doing a skyline mural on one wall. I would do it freehand, how hard can it be....famous last words!
