For the past two weeks my 8 month old LO has been fighting bedtime. We have the same routine since she was probably two months old of bath, books, bedtime nursing and bed. Previously she went down easy either asleep or relaxed enough that she put herself to sleep once in her crib. For the past two weeks, however, the last nursing session has become really difficult. She will pop on and off inbetween uncontrollable crying. I will try to soothe her by switching sides or just holding her but she pushes me away and just cries harder and wants no part of my cuddles or holding her I usually end up having to put her down because I feel like I am just making things worse and it breaks my heart to hear her crying every night. I miss our peaceful sleepy nursing sessions!

Has anyone gone through something like this? Is she dropping a nursing session? What else can I do to soothe her when she seems inconsolable?
