Awww, sorry you missed it!! I missed Xander's first laugh too (and I was HOME with him), but it was immediately followed by screaming, so whatever he found funny quickly turned into distaste!

@cmomma17: Hugs. When I was on maternity leave, I sent DH pics of LO smiling the first time. It was hard on DH at the time. Now with both of working, LO tends to do his milestones for us at home. He's funny about doing them at daycare. We usually report them to the daycare, then he does it for them.

@cmomma17: DH is a WAHD and gets all the firsts with DS. At least our DH's get to see it first? I tell myself all the time that it's really sweet & special that DS gets to have that relationship with his dad... even if I wish it were me!!

@cmomma17: I have an agreement with both my husband and my daycare that if she hits a new milestone while I'm not around they are NOT to tell me. (Most day care providers follow this rule anyway). This allows me to blissfully believe that the first time *I* see her do something is the first time she's doing it.

@cmomma17: haha, yeah, my husband was playing with him and he goes "He just laughed!" and I said "Really??? And I missed it???" and then Xander immediately started screaming and I was all "WHAT DID YOU DO???" hahaha.

Awww! I was so glad I captured LO's on video too so I could send to DH. Its hard when one parent misses that. DH has missed so much and will be missing so much more with the looooong deployment he is on. : (

@cmomma17: Aww thanks! Yeah this one will be the longest one he ever does. Not your typical deployment (1.5 yrs). Just glad that seeing he has to do this long one its while LO is so young and she wont really know any different. For me I am just busy, busy, busy juggling it all. Feel so bad for DH though as he is going to miss her "infant" stage.
