So, my dog is old. 12, and I guess things are.... Not as effective any more. He left a little poop skid on the carpet.
Is there any way I can pretend I didn't see it so that DH has to clean it up when he gets home?! LOL

Awww, poor old boy. My parents had a lab that was 14...she was a good old girl but...old.

Haha! Girl, I have a young dog (middle aged, i guess) and her butt leaks so she isn't allowed on the bed anymore.
I'm sorry you have to clean up skid marks today...

I had to go through this for about a year with my cat when she was old. It was a rough year full of lots of poop! Yuck

LOL!!!! I think all animals are gross!! (but I have a dog and 2 cats, and I love them to pieces anyways!) My cats always have poop outside of the litter box (like inches) and my dog always eats my hair from the shower strainer (we try and keep the bathroom door closed as much as possible, but sometimes I forget) well when he poops, a lot of times he will have "danglers" lol

Awww lol. Maybe he has a bit of loose stool? If it happens again maybe take him to the vet.
My pup is still not 100% reliably house trained and every now and then I find a little "surprise" under our dining room table.

Poor dog. Sometimes dogs scoot their behind on carpet or grass becuase they have clogged anal glands. (Ewww... sorry to bring that up.) My sister's chihuahua who I love more than anything gets clogged anal glands often. She regularly goes to the vet to have them "expressed." Ewww again.

Our dogs have long hair... Let's just say "poopy butt" is a phrase used waaaay too often in our home!! They regularly need butt haircuts, lol

@MrsMcD: we call that "flop bottom" (from James Herriott's story about Tricky Woo). And yes our gross dogs have flop bottom everyonce in a while and have to take them to the groomer
