As we gear up for a natural birth experience, I am constantly finding myself looking for beautiful inspiration ... my body can do this, many women have, I was made for this, etc. Words, images, and videos of affirmation. Last week, I found this video of a birth from the 1970's of a French woman giving birth. Watching the JOY in her eyes as she prepares to meet her baby is so amazing. I thought I'd share. This is definitely graphic ... anyone who doesn't want to see a baby crowning, etc. should avoid this one. Otherwise, it's beautiful, and made this pregnant mama cry!

What a beautiful, joyful and inspiring birth. I know not many women experience birth as she did, but I was just so happy to have found an example of what birth can be that is far different from some of the harder, louder examples out there. -

I love how they just let that baby come on out, nobody yanking or pulling or yelling at mom to push!

And now I'm tearing up...and I don't even have a pregnancy excuse. I remember seeing this before, I don't know how long ago, and loving it then. I love how she pulls the baby out at the very end and dad catches it.

That was amazing! I wish I could've looked that awesome during P's delivery.... I know there were other things that attributed to my demeanor though so hopefully this time those can be avoided & I can be more like this lady!
