LO just ripped apart a nice book for the first time. As a book lover, it hurt me :(. She's now limited to old magazines.

Hahahah. Awww, I hear ya. I thought I was going to have the kid who didn't rip books...then she tore into my favorite cookbook.

Yeah, LO tore one of the pages in one of her books a couple of weeks ago and I freaked out for a second. She's also chewed on some of the corners of the books and badly wrinkled some of the pages.

As someone who is sitting here with a stack of shiny new baby books next to me, to add to my already healthy collection which are already displayed on the nursery shelves, this really worries me!! I had not thought of that for one second!!!

Yea, E can't be trusted around real books. Board books only for the foreseeable future.

Awww, yeah, I cant trust C either. She ripped the covers off of 2 of my favorite books after stealing them off the bookshelf. I was pretty aggravated.

Good to hear mine isn't the only one that rips books to shreds. Mamas, if your babies like to rip books apart how do you read to them?! As soon as I lay a book out LO attacks it =(

Prettybaby ripped a page out of her first ever Dr Seuss book, so so sad. Board books only for now!

I bought those fabric/cloth books for DS to gnaw on in hopes of saving the nice ones on his shelf!
