Is he heading out with friends? I think your ideas are great. I know some grocery stores do the thing where you can create your own custom case with bottles of different kinds of beer.

I bought this for my friend for her 21st along with a collection of little sample bottles of different alcohols (whiskey, tequila, etc). This cup is so cute, I think, and my friend loved it!
