For the past few weeks I've noticed that LO will randomly shake her head really quickly (it looks like she is shivering, but she's not cold). It usually only lasts for a second. Is this common? She is 4 1/2 months old. The past few times she's done it there's been a lot going on around her so I was thinking maybe it's when she's excited? It kinda freaks me out!!

She could be peeing. My dd use to do that when she peed

My LO did this too! He did it forever and it was always random. He eventually stopped doing it. I still have no idea what it was about but I wouldn't worry

I would guess excitement. My LO kind of vibrates when she's stoked for something, like being put in the bath, or being offered a boob, or seeing her dad when he gets home from work.

I think it's common and they outgrow it. LO does it a little and he's 8 months tomorrow.

It always happened to my little one right after waking! Interesting that it could be from peeing!

The last child I nannied for did that. Her mom talked to the doctor but he blew her off. It never seemed like a big deal. Now I'm wondering if she was peeing!

I wish I knew when it was going to happen so I could change her diaper right before then see if a blue line appeared right after!

Good news: Mystery solved...she did the shiver thing while she was peeing. It's totally pee shivers!!

I've noticed this when I have DD on the changing table. She'll look up at me, smile, and have these little shivers. She's either peeing, or excited to see my amazing face.
